, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the method for smart toothbrush using Internet of Things (IoT). This invention relates to the field of dentistry and medicine.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Periodontal is the area around the tooth, which includes gum, periodontal membrane and bone tissue that holds the tooth in place. Many people suffer from several types of periodontal disease and other diseases that can be detected via a mouth examination. If periodontal disease is detected then dental treatment will be performed by a qualified dentist. After the Surgery or procedure or cleaning, maintenance of the proper oral hygiene is a must.
The average person only brushes the most visible areas of the tooth, leaving other areas without the proper attention. The necessary cleaning will help to avoid future dental problems and diseases.
Typical electrical toothbrushes concentrate on the proper brushing technique. That technique ensures that the brush is able to access deep areas of the mouth and giving enough contact surface between the toothbrush and tooth in order to provide the necessary cleaning that will maintain a good mouth hygiene.
Conventional electrical toothbrushes only work during the time of the cleaning. No data is recorded for future analysis and also evaluation of the current status of the mouth, gum, tooth, oral tract, and inside gases present in the mouth. Conventional electrical toothbrushes focus their design and performance on the contact of the toothbrush bristles against the surface of the teeth, how much vibration is placed on the unit while performing the brushing of the teeth.
A conventional electrical toothbrush has electrical indicators LED that will inform the user how much electrical charge are still present inside the battery. Another operation characteristic of the conventional electrical toothbrushes is presence of an ON/OFF button that allow the operator to turn the device on the cleaning operation mode, and if the user decides to turn the device off.
Another characteristic of the conventional electric toothbrushes is the presence of a wired or wireless charging base where the electric toothbrush can be placed after use, and this base placed on the top of the bathroom counter which will recharge the internal rechargeable battery of the conventional electric toothbrush.
The present invention allows for basic timers that will inform the toothbrush user how much time brushing of teeth needed and also basic plaque detection with help of Internet of Things (IoT).
Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is that, the smart toothbrush using Internet of Things (IoT).
Another object of the invention is that, can detect basic plaque.
Other object of the invention is that, can inform user how much time brushing of teeth is needed.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system or method for smart toothbrush using Internet of Things (IoT). This smart toothbrush device will have an electronic board with sensors and chipsets to communicate with Smart electronic devices that can do the following. Recording the duration time of toothbrush use by the user and transferring the data to Smart electronic device. Sensors to detect diseases from breath, saliva, oral cavity tissues of the person and also to detect temperature and pressure. And transferred data to Smart electronic device. CPU placed internally in the toothbrush.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system or method for smart toothbrush by using Internet of Things (IoT).
The present invention, smart toothbrush device will have an electronic board with sensors and chipsets to communicate with Smart electronic devices. The smart toothbrush is comprising of components such as, any smart electronic computing device – storing data from smart toothbrush; sensors and chipsets - to communicate with smart electronic device; toothbrush base stand – charging the tooth brush battery and for data transfer; internal CPU – to communicate with smart electronic device wirelessly to transfer data.
Toothbrushes are used commonly by people of all ages throughout the world for keeping proper dental hygiene. The smart toothbrush device will have an electronic board with sensors and chipsets to communicate with Smart electronic devices that can work as the following:
Step 1) Users toothbrush duration time is recorded.
Step 2) The time data transferred to smart electronic device.
Step 3) Various sensors attached to brush, detect diseases from breath, saliva, oral cavity tissues of the person and it also detect temperature and pressure.
Step 4) Transfer the data to Smart electronic devices.
The smart Toothbrush will be made in multiple versions from as simple as a device to monitor brushing the teeth habits to advanced medical sensors to detect diseases.
The smart brush comprising of various sensors such as:
Cavities detection sensors – which detect cavities in teeth
Colorimetric sensor - detect diseases like tumour and cancer
Colour sensor - to detect teeth colour and to use it for shade matching in the application
Sensor to detect bad breath
Also, it matches brushing time duration to recorded time duration and send alert to user if time is not matched.
The sensors send data to smart device using Internet of Things (IoT).
Internet of Things (IoT) - The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.
The example of the invention is, it will allow users to link the devices of their kids to their smartphone, tablet or computers application to monitor or manage their kid’s oral hygiene.
Another example of the invention is, Dentists or Orthodontists or Medical Doctors will be able to use this device as a tool for giving better medical advice to their patients under their care when they and the patients have consent and are under agreement with each other.
Doctors need to download, verify their healthcare provider license and subscribe for the application in order to have an agreement to review their patient’s data. The Sub Script ion model adds to the revenue stream of the application. The doctors will be updated with any new upcoming updates with the technology for providing it to their patients.
