''''Smart Water Geyser''''

Abstract: In conventional water heaters, one has to manually operate the device. After switching on the heater, the water is heated to the temperature as set by the manufacturer of the heater, thereby the user doesn"t know the temperature of the water and also cannot set the temperature according to his wish, Another important disadvantage is that, one cannot access the device away from the home so that one has to wait for some time after reaching home until water is heated. In some advanced water geysers, one can manually alter the set the temperature of water as required, but it is directly done on the device. We have developed an IOT project for water heater. In our project we sense the temperature of the incoming water and then send it to the user, after that the user can set the temperature according to one"s wish. We also don"t use Wi-Fi connection; thereby we can access the device anywhere. It also notifies the user that water is ready for bath, thereby, ours is a user friendly project. One can also access the device outside the home.

Specification

1) PARTS OF SMART WATER GEYSER:
• Arduino Uno
• Gsm module
• Led(light emitting diode)
• Temperature sensor
These parts are added along with the existing conventional water heater.
2) CONNECTIVTY BETWEEN EACH COMPONENT

• Led(light emitting diode)-It is used to represent the function of heater
• Temperature sensor-Sensor is used to measure the current temperature of water in inlet pipe.
4) WORKING OF DEVICE
Arduino Uno is the device that is used to interface all the components, it can sense the environment depending on the input received from gsm. The gsm is used to send and receive messages. The temperature sensor will sense the temperature of the incoming water in the inlet pipe, this temperature will be given as an input to the gsm, the gsm sends the temperature to the user, the user will then decide and give his input temperature according to his wish, again the gsm will receive the temperature and give it to the temperature sensor, which will sense the temperature and heat the water accordingly. All the activities will interface by arduino.
5) DIAGRAM OF THE PARTS OF SMART GEYSER

WE CLAIM:
1. A Smart Water Geyser, comprises of any conventional water geyser characterized in
integration of improved temperature controller system comprising of microcontroller,
GSM module, LED and Temperature sensor wherein
a. the said microcontroller interfaces all components of the said geyser and sense
environment depending on input received from user device through GSM and
decides function of heater comprising of heating water or to be in ideal state;
b. the said GSM module establishes communication between the said system and
user device by sending and receiving messages;
c. the said LED represents functions of heater and
d. the said temperature sensor senses and measures current temperature of water in
inlet pipe and given as input to user device through the said GSM thereby
allowing the user to decide and input the temperature through the said GSM
module which in turn received by the said temperature sensor through the said
microcontroller and sense temperature followed by heating/remain ideal
accordingly and sending message to the said user device regarding the completion
thereby the said user shall switch off the said geyser remotely.
Characterized in
~* sensing leiiipeiarare of incoming water; - - ._ . _____
• setting temperature by user remotely;
• not demanding the Wi-Fi connection;
• notifying user that water is ready for bath thereby allowing the user to switch off the said geyser remotely.
2. A process of remotely heating water employing the smart geyser as claimed in claim 1
without demanding any internet connection wherein the claimed process comprises of
a. Switching on the said geyser remotely by an user from a user device;

b. sensing temperature of incoming water by the said temperature sensor and
sending message regarding current temperature of water in inlet pipe to the said
user device through the said GSM module;
c. receiving required temperature from the said user device followed by activating
heating element to heat the water according to the required temperature wherein if
required temperature is equal to or greater than the current temperature then
proceed to step(d) else heat the water according to the required temperature and
proceed to step(d);
d. sending message to user device regarding the completion of task followed by
receiving message from the said user device to switch off the said geyser.
3. The process as claimed in claim 2 wherein all the steps are interface by the said microcontroller.
4. The said microcontroller in any of the preceding claims is Arduino Uno.
5. The said user device in any of the preceding claims is mobile, TAB, IP AD and the like.
6. The Smart Water Geyser as claimed in claim 1 wherein the said conventional water
geyser includes all existing manually operated electric water geysers.
