Abstract: Everybody knows that we're all working together to make the world a better place by achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Soil conservation and restoration is a primary focus of the SDG. India is a country that heavily relies on agriculture. We can accomplish this by developing an AI- and blockchain-powered platform that can measure the Soil Quality Index in real-time. This innovation may slow down soil degradation and provide long-term support for sustainable soil management practices. Soil Sentinel help in the detection of any unlawful transformation of healthy land into an unusable desert, which has far-reaching effects on both humans and the environment. Blockchain technology enhances data storage efficiency, openness, and transparency. Soil deformation may be prevented, and our country's soil health can be improved with the use of this technology, which uses an AI algorithm to automatically monitor the soil and notify authorities when a criticality is discovered. To achieve the said objective, this platform can be of greater use.

Description:FIELD OF INVENTION

This invention mostly focuses on the Sustainable Development Goal. More specifically, the idea suggests a platform that combines blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) for the real-time assessment of the soil quality index. Healthy Soils seeks to strengthen the nation this invention has the potential to support long-term, sustainable soil management techniques and minimize the rate of soil deterioration that is common in India. It can also help to track and prevent land that is purposefully converted to waste land from agriculture land. Furthermore, a hardware system for measuring different aspects of healthy soil is being developed. This will allow real-time data to be acquired, which is then sent to the Blockchain, which is necessary to calculate the soil quality index accurately.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Soil conservation is one of the goals of Sustainable Development for green recovery. We can assess this by utilizing "Soil Sentinel: Blockchain and AI-driven Soil Health Assessment System for Green Recovery" to sustainably enhance agricultural productivity. As the global population burgeons and arable land diminishes, the agricultural sector faces mounting pressure to maximize yields while minimizing environmental impact. Traditional farming practices often lack precision and efficiency, leading to soil degradation, nutrient depletion, and pollution.

Recognizing these challenges, we sought to harness the power of emerging technologies like blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) to revolutionize agricultural practices. The soil sentinel system emerged as a response, integrating blockchain's immutable ledger capabilities with AI-driven analytics to create a comprehensive Soil Quality Index (SQI) assessment system.

The inception of Soil Sentinel was inspired by the imperative to empower farmers with real-time insights into their soil health. Blockchain technology is known for its transparency, security, and decentralized nature. With AI algorithms capable of processing vast amounts of agricultural data, the system aims to offer farmers actionable intelligence for informed decision-making.

Key components of the Soil Guardian system include:

IoT Sensors: Soil analyzer captures real-time soil parameter and transmits the value to the cloud the analyzer module is also equipped with a GPS (Global Positioning system Module) module and capture the real-time location of the sensor which can detects data tampering if the sensor is moved by malicious player for hiding any damages done purposefully for converting a cultivatable land to a barren land.

Blockchain Ledger: Provides a secure and transparent platform for recording soil quality data collected from various Sensors scattered across the field. The decentralized nature of blockchain ensures data integrity and trust among stakeholders, facilitating seamless collaboration and information sharing.

AI-powered Analytics: Utilizes machine learning algorithms to analyze diverse soil parameters such as nutrient levels, pH balance, moisture content, and organic matter. By processing historical and real-time data, the AI algorithms generate a comprehensive Soil Quality Index, enabling farmers to assess the overall health of their soil and identify areas for improvement and alert the participants in the system if any abnormalities are detected.

Smart Farming Integration: Integrates with existing smart farming technologies, including IoT sensors, drones, and precision agriculture equipment, to gather continuous data streams from the field. This real-time monitoring enables proactive soil management strategies, such as targeted fertilization, irrigation optimization, and crop rotation, to maintain soil fertility and productivity sustainably.

Dashboard: In the Dashboard the farmers and the regulatory authority can view the current status of the soil which would help to take timely actions to prevent soil deformation in any aspect which would help to monitor green worthiness of the soil.

The development of Soil Guardian represents a paradigm shift in agricultural management, fostering a symbiotic relationship between technology and sustainability. By empowering farmers and the Government with actionable insights and fostering data-driven decision-making, the system aims to mitigate soil degradation, conserve resources, and promote long-term agricultural resilience in the face of evolving environmental challenges.

In summary, integrating blockchain technology into soil monitoring offers promising opportunities to enhance environmental sustainability, mitigate climate change impacts, and promote inclusive participation in Sustainable goal development. By leveraging blockchain's transparency, efficiency, and accessibility, soil monitoring initiatives can contribute to building a more resilient and equitable future for our planet.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

• The main objective of the Invention is to develop blockchain and Artificial intelligence Powered Soil Monitoring System.

• In addition, we are developing a real - Time soil health Monitoring platform to collect the soil parameters directly form the Land and transmit it to the cloud blockchain.

Soil health is determined based on totally 16 parameters out of which we will be measuring Soil Temperature, Soil Volumetric Water Content, Soil Electrical Conductivity (EC), Soil pH Value, Soil Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium. Using multiparameter soil sensor. The newest ESP32-C6 SoC is utilized to
collect and transmit data. The SoC gathers real-time data on the soil Health
sending it over the Internet directly to the blockchain cloud.

The following is a list of the hardware elements needed for the Soil Sentinel:

The ESP32-C6 SoC serves as the microcontroller for the soil sensor. The SoC gathers real-time data on soil health, sending it over the Internet. Because the soil sensor's output is RS-485, a serial converter is required to connect to the microcontroller. A network module transmits the data to the server. Further A GPS module also equips this device to continuously track its location. We incorporate this feature to prevent any malicious player from unwanted shifting of the sensor unit to a different location and then the malicious player then tampers the soil. The AI algorithm will detect this tampering and notify the authorities about it.

Shows how the platform works. Initially, the data is received by the cloud infrastructure, and then it is stored in the blockchain network. Blockchain provides transparency, efficiency, accessibility, and can help reduce fraud. The stored data is utilized by the machine learning algorithm to predict the soil quality index using the parameters sent by the IoT-based soil analyzer. AI not only predicts the soil quality index, but it also alters the necessary operators when a soil parameter is at a critical level, so that it would be helpful for the player in the system to take timely action. These alerts can be viewed in the dashboard.

This Describes who are all the participants in the system and their roles. The main participant is the Farmer who can view their soil health by using their dashboard. Other two players are the state and central regulatory authorities the role of these players are they monitor for any abnormalities in the soil and the also have the provision to set the threshold values of the soil paraments base on which the AI algorithm generates soil Quality index and detects abnormalities the regulatory authority with receive alert when an abnormality or Tampering with the sensor location is Detect.
