Solenoid And Switch

Abstract: Provided is a solenoid in which a solenoid coil-side end of a protruding portion has a step to allow for efficient linear motion of a movable core. The solenoid comprises a solenoid coil (1), a movable core (2), and a fixed core (3). The movable core (2) has one end that linearly moves in a hollow portion of the solenoid coil (1), and includes on the other end side a protruding portion (2a) which is laterally symmetrically provided in a direction perpendicular to the linear motion direction and has a step on an end on the solenoid coil (1) side. The fixed core (3) encapsulates the solenoid coil (1) and includes a recess (3a) in which the protruding portion (2a) is fitted.
