FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention helps in holding the cylindrical components during
grinding, milling operation etc. of where dimension or parameters are required
with respect to center line of components. By this invention, we are obtaining
geometrical parameters & tolerances as required on consistent basis.
BACKGROUND
For the components which are used in many industries such as aerospace,
automobiles etc., there is often a requirement of maintaining the dimensions and
geometrical parameters from the center line of the components. Since these
components are to be used many systems, hence, it is a challenge to machine
them as per designed parameters.
The present fixture provides a convenient tool to address these problems in a
practical manner.
SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION
In accordance with one aspect of present invention is to provide a fixture that
facilitates effective control over the geometrical dimensions & parameters as
required.
In accordance with second aspect of present invention is to provide a smaller
and practically feasible fixture.

In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a fixture
which is rigid in design and provide good support to component.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a fixture
that can be properly and effectively utilized to hold and firmly fixed the piece by
lesser skilled individuals.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a fixture
that can be properly fastened to the machine bed of different machines.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Referring to FIGS. 1, 2, 3.1& 3.2 the present invention is a fixture adapted for use
on different machines as Milling, Grinding etc.
The fixture ‘1 is designed to support the work piece at ‘V’ block ‘4’ having an
angle of 90° between both grinded faces.

The fixture 1 comprises of base 8 and having a substantially flat and parallel top
surface 6.
The fixture 1 comprises of slot 7 for holding fixture at machine bed to provide
positive clamping.
For clearance of components, there is a recess 3 so that any components which
will hold at 4 will not foul with fixture. This recess can be modified as per
requirement.
Fig 2.1 & 2.2 shows details of clamps 9. There are two holes 10 through which
screws will pass and get tight in corresponding tapped hole as made on 1.

We claim

1. The Special Holding Fixture, comprising:
- A flat and grounded base having ‘V’ groove to hold the cylindrical component, tapping holes to clamp the job, two rectangular slots to hold the fixture on the machine bed with a recess which can modified to avoid fouling of cylindrical job with fixture.

2. The present invention as per claim 1, further comprises of specially designed C shape clamps to clamp the cylindrical part.

3. The fixture of claim 1, wherein cylindrical components are held to perform various machining operations like milling, Grinding, EDM etc.

4. The fixture of claim 1, capable for achieving geometrical parameters and dimensions with respect to center line of components.

5. The fixture of claim 1, wherein the fixture can be modified to hold similar components for different operations. ,TagSPECI:As per Annexure-II
