Abstract: A special spanner, for rotating a fastener having circular head with two numbers of protrusions on the periphery thereof and method of making same is disclosed. The special spanner is provided including a handle and at least one end extent coupled to an end of the handle. The end extent of special spanner includes features to accommodate the head and protrusion on head of the special fasteners to facilitate the rotation of the fasteners. The special spanner includes a gripping member having an opening defined by an inner surface complimentary to the periphery of the special fastener whereby the fastener may be axially received by the gripping member. The handle of the Special spanner with supporting bar helps to provide the torque to the head of the spanner.
FIELD 5 OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to spanner and more particularly pertains to
10 a new modified special spanner for rotating a special fastener, having round
head and two circular protrusions, in a rotary motion without removing the special
spanner from the special fasteners.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
20 This invention is directed to spanners and more particularly to open-end
spanner adapted to hold and rotate the special type of fastener having cylindrical
protrusions in upper plane of fastener head. A draw back to convention type of
spanner used for the rotating of special fastener described above is the tendency
of the spanner to slip off of the head of the fastener during torque application.

This tendency is especially critical when the conventional spanner is in an
odd position or the person using the spanner is positioned awkwardly and has
difficulty in reaching the special fasteners.
30 If the special faster described above has to tighten at a depth from the
surface, then convention spanner is not feasible to use.
To overcome the problems defined above, a special spanner for rotating
and applying torque on the special fastener described above is fabricated.

SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION
The general purpose of the present invention, which will be described
subsequently 5 in greater detail, is to provide a new modified Special spanner
and method Which has many advantages of the special spanner mentioned
heretofore and many novel features that result in a new modified Special spanner
Which is not anticipated, rendered obvious, suggested, or even implied by any of
the prior art spanner, either alone or in any combination thereof.

in the axis of rotation of fasteners to facilitate the gripping of fasteners in special
spanner.

new Special Spanner that has one bar fitted perpendicularly to the axis of
rotation of special spanner in the handle to provide torque for the effective
operation.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
30 With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 4
thereof, a new modified Special Spanner embodying the principles and concepts
of the present invention and generally designated by the reference numeral 5 Will
be described.

The present invention, designated as numeral 5 include a spanner main
body 1 having circular end 7 and shank 8. Main body 1 of spanner 5 is made of
stainless steel. At the circular end 7 there is a circular centered taper slot 9.
Tapered slot 9 is extended to the two other semi-circular slots 10 5 perpendiculars
to the axis of rotation of spanner 5. The head and protruded cylindrical pins of the
special fasteners 6 to be rotated by the special spanner 5 is passed through
tapered slot 9 to the semi circular slot 10 where it rest on the either end surface
of the circular slots 10 during clockwise or anticlockwise movement of the special
10 spanner 5.The shank 8 is having two circular holes to facilitate the joining of
shank 8 with the handle 2.
Handle 2 has one circular hole 11 in the axis of rotation of the special
spanner 5.shank 8 of the main body 1 is fitted in the circular hole 11 of the
handle 2 .shank 8 and handle 2 are fitted together firmly by fixing two dowel pin
15 3 through shank and handle. Handle 2 also has one hole 12 perpendicular to the
axis of rotation of special spanner 5.A dowel pin 4 is press fitted in this circular
hole 12 to provide the torque to the special spanner 5.
Special screw 6 is accommodated in the taper slot 9 and then semi
circular slot 10.then special spanner 5 is rotated clockwise or anti-clock wise as
20 per requirement. By rotating the special spanner 5, protruded pins of the screw 6
are locked the semi circular slot 10 , thus preventing disengagement of fastener
6 from the special spanner 5.after the completion of operation fastener may be
disengaged from the special spanner 5 by slightly rotating the special spanner 5
in opposite direction. After this special spanner 5 can be puller from special
25 fastener 6.

1. A Special spanner for rotating a special screw having round head and two protrusion of predetermined size. The special spanner comprising:
- A handle
- A main body attached to the handle that defines a cylindrical head having an inner taper slot having circular centre and two semi circular slot through which fastener described above passed and located.
2. The special spanner of claim 1 wherein, cylindrical head of the spanner having a taper slot with circular centre to facilitate the positioning of screw in the spanner.
3. The special spanner of claim 1 wherein, cylindrical head of the spanner having two semi circular slots, in which screw locked in both direction rotations.
4. The special spanner of claim 1 wherein, main body of the spanner is connected to handle by press fitting and positively locked by two dowel pins.
5. The special spanner of claim 1 wherein, the material of the main body of the spanner is Stainless steel to prevent corrosion.
6. The special spanner of claim 1 wherein, having handle to provide the torque for the operation of the spanner.
7. The special spanner of claim 1 wherein, fastener has to be used at a distance from the surface of parts to be joined, outer diameter of the main body is suitable to insert in the hole fabricated on the parts to be joined by the special screw. ,TagSPECI:As per Annexure-II
