Abstract: A spinning machine (1) includes a draft device (6), an air spinning device (7), and a unit controller (10). In the draft device (6), a draft ratio of a front roller pair (17) to a middle roller pair (16) is MDR, a draft ratio of the middle roller pair (16) to a third roller pair (15) is IDR, and a draft ratio of the third roller pair (15) to a back roller pair (14) is BDR. The unit controller (10) controls rotational drive of each of the back roller pair (14), the third roller pair (15), the middle roller pair (16), and the front roller pair (17) such that the IDR and the BDR at the time of yarn discharge spinning are equal to ratios at the time of normal spinning.
