Spinning Machine

Abstract: A spinning machine includes a spinning device, a yarn storage roller, a yarn hooking member, a yarn detaching member, a winding device, a catch device, a yarn joining part, a cutter, and a control part. In a situation in which: a yarn defect exists upstream relative to the catch device in a yarn traveling direction; the yarn detaching member disables an action of the yarn hooking member on a yarn; and the rotation of a package is stopped or its rotation speed is decelerated toward zero, the control part causes the catch device to suck the yarn while rotating the yarn storage roller to forward the yarn. With the rotation of the package stopped, the control part causes the cutter to cut a package-side yarn thereby to remove the yarn defect and causes the yarn joining part to join a spinning device-side yarn and the package-side yarn.
