"Spinning Ring Structure"

Abstract: A spinning ring structure (10, 110) for use on a spinning frame comprises a stationary ring (20) fixedly-held in place, a rotary ring (30, 130) fitted in the stationary ring (20) coaxially with the stationary ring (20) so as to rotate about its center axis and provided with an annular flange (32) at its upper end, a traveler (50) put on the flange (32) of the rotary ring (30) for traveling along the flange (32) to guide a yarn (T2) to a bobbin (82) disposed coaxially with the rotary ring (30). Openings (36) are formed through a neck portion (34) of the rotary ring (30), whereby flies produced during the spinning operation by friction between the yarn and the traveler are discharged outside the spinning ring structure through the openings due to centrifugal force.
