COMPLETE
The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed.

Field of Invention
The present invention relates to drain valve constructions in automobiles, and more particularly, the present invention relates to a drain bracket assembly for draining water inside a plenum chamber of the automobile.
Background of the present invention
In automobiles, a plenum chamber is a chamber located in front of a windshield, where air pressure is above atmospheric level. The plenum chamber is a rearmost area under the hood. The plenum chamber provides a volume of fresh air which is drawn into the car from a chamber through heater, air-conditioner or vents. Early day cars had a vent in front of the windshield and this could be opened by a lever in the cabin to allow air into the cabin. Later cars with the plenum chamber had a grille, which was the opening to the chamber.
However, if the area of plenum chamber is not kept clean and the water drain valves are not cleared, an accumulation of water, leaves and other debris may get collected in this area. Also, there are great chances of rat, mouse or small rodents entering into the vent of the plenum chamber. For this reason, the area of plenum chamber should be inspected and cleaned during routine maintenance and the water drain valves should be checked to make sure the vent allows proper drainage. If the water accumulates in the area of plenum chamber, the drain valves should be inspected and cleaned as necessary.
As shown in figure 1 of the prior art, water drain brackets in the existing automobiles have small drain hole socket on both the ends of the plenum chamber which may cause accumulation of waste particles like leaves to be trapped inside the plenum chamber. Depending on the type of automobile, the two water drain sockets A in the plenum chamber can be cleaned from above (only with plenum chamber cover removed) or from below (with left or right

wheel housing liner removed). With the automobile raised, for example, it is possible to clean the two water drain sockets B from underneath by way of the two wheel housings with the wheel housing liner removed. If the water drain sockets B are clogged with leaves and pine needles, the drains may freeze up during the winter season and thus prevents the drainage of water from the chamber. After a short journey, the heat emitted by an engine and an exhaust system melts ice in the drains again. By the time the automobile arrives at the workshop, the water may have drained out of the plenum chamber again. The water drain sockets B are installed from above in the drain openings in the body A. With the wheel housing liner removed, the water drain sockets can also be removed and installed from underneath.
In automobiles, clogged water drain valves can allow rainwater to accumulate in the plenum tray (at the base of the windshield). The water may leak into the automobile's interior, brake booster, or electrical components, which can lead to major problems. It may also have other problems like sloshing water sound round corners, potential ECU damage, gallons of water entering the car through pollen filter into the foot wells, long term musty smell and carpet damage and inner sill SRS sensors failure (caused by corrosion).
The existing solution to keep the drain valve of the plenum chamber clear of debris is by carefully poking out any debris without damaging the fragile rubber drain flap of the plenum chamber. Attempts are made to avoid the blockage of the drain sockets of the plenum chamber by enlarging the diameter of the drain socket. However, it has the drawback by paving way for some rodents or other insects to enter inside the plenum chamber,
Accordingly there exists a need to address these drawbacks of the conventional repairing or maintenance methods of the drain valve of the plenum chamber. Also, there exist a need to provide a water drain valve which completely

eliminates the blockage of valve by leaves or other debris and also requires less cleaning or maintenance of the drain valve.
Objects of the present invention
An object of the present invention is to avoid clogging or blockage in a vent of a plenum chamber due to leaves or other debris.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a water drain bracket assembly for plenum chamber of an automobile which requires no maintenance.
Yet another object of the present invention is to prevent entry of small rodents or insects.
Summary of the invention
Accordingly, the present invention provides a water drain bracket assembly for draining water inside a plenum chamber of a automobile. The water drain bracket assembly comprises a hollow rectangular bracket having a pair of bracket hinges configured on one inner side thereof, a flap having a pair of hinges configured on one side thereof and a pair of stoppers configured on other side thereof, a pin member capable of connecting the pair of bracket hinges and the pair of hinges thereby moveably connecting the flap to the hollow rectangular bracket, a spring coiled over the pin member, the spring having a first end engaging with inner side of the hollow rectangular bracket and a second end engaging with lower surface of the flap. The pair stoppers of the water drain bracket assembly remain in contact with the lower surface of the hollow rectangular bracket due to spring tension thereby keeping the flap closed, and when the water pressure inside the plenum chamber exceeds the spring tension, the flap opens up thereby draining the water inside the plenum chamber and the flap slowly revert to its original position due to the opposite spring tension.
