Abstract: A system (100) for stabilizing movements of hinged lid pack (HLP) blanks for stacking the same. The system (100) comprises a conveyor belt (102) for receiving the HLP blanks in a plurality of streams (104). The system (100) also comprises a HLP blank stream stabilizing unit (108) that includes two support beams (110), each placed on each side of the conveyor belt (102). Each support beam has one free end and one fixed end. The HLP blank stream stabilizing unit (108) also has a fixed rod (112) attach at free end of support beams (110). A plurality of guide plates (116) is coupled to the fixed rod (112) at one end thereof. A second end of each guide plate of the plurality of guide plates (116) rests on a corresponding stream of the plurality of streams (104) on the conveyor belt (102).
Claims:1. A system (100) for stabilizing movements of hinged lid pack (HLP) blanks for stacking the HLP blanks, the system (100) comprising:
a conveyor belt (102) for receiving HLP blanks in a plurality of streams (104); and
an HLP blank stream stabilizing unit (108) comprising:
two support beams (110), one on each side of the conveyor belt (102), wherein each of the two support beams (110) has one free end and one fixed end;
a fixed rod (112) attached at the free end of each of the two support beams (110), such that the fixed rod (112) is at a pre-defined height above the conveyor belt (102); and
a plurality of guide plates (116) for stabilizing the movement of the plurality of streams (104) of HLP blanks, wherein each of the plurality of guide plates (104) is coupled to the fixed rod (112) at a first end thereof, wherein each of the plurality of guide plates (116) is rotatable about a longitudinal axis of the fixed rod (112), and wherein each guide plate of the plurality of guide plates (116) rests on a corresponding stream of the plurality of streams (104) on the conveyor belt (102).
2. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of guide plates (116) has a breadth of about 50 mm, a length of about 250 mm, and a thickness of about 0.1 mm.
3. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of guide plates (116) has a thickness in a range from about 0.05 mm to about 0.15 mm.
4. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of streams (104) comprises three streams and the number of the plurality of guide plates (116) is three.
5. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the pre-defined height lies in a range from about 140 mm to about 180 mm.
6. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fixed rod (112) is made of one of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
7. The system (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of guide plates (116) is made of one of steel, Teflon, and plastic.
