Abstract: Stable topical antifungal agent and a prebiotic containing talc dusting powder composition and manufacturing process thereof The present invention relates to a stable topical imidazole antifungal powder formulation of Clotrimazole preferably with a prebiotic Inulin, having improved antifungal properties and superior skin hydrating property by maintaining suitable moisture content levels and good microbial flora on the irritated skin. The current invention discloses a composition and method of manufacturing a stabilized Clotrimazole preparation, wherein the protection of active is achieved via a protective barrier like Propylene glycol or Polyethylene glycol surrounding the active, additionally a diluent layering with talc to form a barrier layer. This preparation can be used for prophylaxis, treatment, cure, alleviation of symptoms, prevention of recurrence caused by pathogens like fungus & yeast.
