Steering Control Device, And Steering Control Method

Abstract: This steering control device is provided with: an actuator which imparts steering auxiliary torque to a steering system of a vehicle; a vehicle turning state detector which detects a state quantity indicating a turning state of the vehicle; a hold steering determination unit which determines a hold steering state of the steering system; a storage unit in which when the hold steering determination unit determines that a hold steering state is present the state quantity detected by the vehicle turning state detector is stored as a hold steering determination state quantity; a steering auxiliary torque calculation unit which calculates the steering auxiliary torque on the basis of the absolute value of the hold steering determination state quantity; and an actuator controller which controls the actuator in accordance with the calculated steering auxiliary torque.
