Background of the Invention
Field of the Invention
The present embodiment relates to the bone cutting apparatus used during surgery. This invention describes about the system of sternum cutting apparatus, which comprises of the Blade depth limiter and transparent splashguard.
Description of the Related Art
The present sternum cutting apparatus used in medical surgeries has fixed saw/blade. It is looking as a ordinary saw used to cut the bones during surgery. Currently there is no sternum cutting apparatus used in the medical procedures having the rotary adjustment for blade depth limit.
During surgery, the blood splash will be there. This problem especially occurs in connection with sternum cutting surgery. Splashing of the blood can potentially spread the diseases of the patient or infect the people around in the operation theater, like surgeons, other doctors, nurses and other technical staff etc. There is no connecting equipment with the current sternum cutting tool/apparatus to control the blood splash.
The Patent entitled 'Surgical instrument with adjustable rotary cutting tool and method of cutting' [US 7229457 B2] explains the invention relates to the sternum cutting apparatus This patent describes the invention apparatus used for sternum cutting and drilling operations only. There is no explanation about the cutting component adjustment and component, which is used to control the blood splash.
The Patent entitled 'Surgical Instrument with adjustable rotary cutting tool and method of cutting' [WO 02/15799 Al] explains the surgical cutting tool in which at least one slot is formed through the wall of a tubular housing and receives a blade. This invention does not posses the solution for manual adjustment of the blade depth and the control the blood splash during surgery.

Summary of the Invention
This embodiment is related to the system and method of Sternum cutting apparatus with Blade depth limiter and Transparent Splash Guard. This patent describes the system and method of sternum cutting apparatus or machine tool, which comprises the blade/saw, Blade guard, blade holder sub assemblies, blade depth limiter and transparent splashguard. Specially make sternum-cutting saw connected with the Blade holder sub¬assemblies.
The blade depth limiter is the rotating arrangement placed in the Blade holder sub assembly used to limit the Blade depth manually. The Blade holder sub assembly has the flexible drive shaft, which is used as a blade depth limiter. The flexible drive shaft has connected with the blade/saw (cutting component) by direct proportion.
The transparent splashguard will be fixed in between the Saw/Blade and the blade holder. It is either circular or rectangular shape, made of soft material like rubber or silicon or any other mode of acceptance. It is essentially a transparent shield which will avoid splashing of the blood during bone cutting.
The system is completely mounted with the casing, which is manufactured using Steel/Plastic or other mode of acceptance. The sternum-cutting saw is connected with this apparatus manufactured by using specific core material for surgery sternum of human body. The surgeon can make use of this apparatus not only for sternum surgery and surgeon can use this apparatus by connecting various blades in the blade support holder for other surgery also.
Various sizes of transparent splashguards can be cormected with this apparatus, which depends on the surgery requirement. Splashguard is a screw type arrangement can be easily removable by any physician during surgery. This apparatus may be used for bone cutting, to remove the human tissues, postmortem and other types of medical procedures.

The Figure-1 explains the complete view of the invention system with the representation of Blade depth limiter 101 and transparent splashguard 102.
The Figure-2 explains the rear view of the embodiment with the representation of Blade - SS (Sternum Saw) 201, Blade Supporter - SS (Sternum Saw) 202, Aluminum Casing 203.
The Figure-3 explains the arrangement of Drive shaft 302, Coupling shaft 303 and Bearings 301 in the invention system.
This invention system has the Blade depth limiter 101 used to adjust the length of the Sternum Saw/Blade and the Transparent splashguard 102 has fixed in between Saw and the coupling shaft with the Blade supporter. The rectangle shape splashguard is shown in the figure. The surgeon can make use of any shape in this sternum cutting apparatus.

The Blade supporter - SS 202 used to support the blade ~ SS 201 connected with the system. The Aluminum casing 203 or other material casing used to cover the blade holder sub assemblies and inside parts of the system.
The Coupling shaft 303 used to connect the Drive shaft 302 with the Sternum Saw. The Bearings 301 used to replace the blades connected with the system.

Claims
This invention claims,
1. The system of sternum cutting apparatus with the Blade depth limiter and Transparent Splashguard.
2. The System claims,

a) The system has Drive shaft connected proportionally with the Blade to adjust the length of the Blade.
b) The coupling shaft may use to connect the drive shaft with the blade.
c) The system has Transparent Splash Guard in between the Saw and the Shaft.
3. The transparent splash guard of this invention system can be any shape and size
depends on the requirement.

4. The driving shaft fixed with this system used as the Blade Depth limiter to control
the length and size of the Blade manual rotation of the shaft.
5. The Drive shaft can be adjusted manually or other mode of acceptance during
surgery.
