, Description:TECHNICAL FIELD
[001] The embodiments herein relate to storage devices and method of mounting light(s) in the storage devices, where the storage device is at least a temperature regulating appliance such as but not limited to a deep freezer.

BACKGROUND
[002] Generally, a storage device is used for storing articles or items. Storage devices are used in domestic applications, commercial applications and industrial applications. For example, a deep freezer is a temperature regulating storage device which is used to preserve and store any of food products, medical equipment, blood samples, medicines and injections and other articles for a long period of time. Deep Freezers are used for industrial purposes as well as for household purposes. Conventional deep freezer (F), (as shown in fig. 1) mainly include a freezer compartment (FS), a plurality of lids (FD) hinged onto the freezer compartment (FS) and a plurality of lights (FL), where each light (FL) is mounted onto corresponding lid (FD). When the lids (FD) are moved from a closed position to an open position, the lights (FL) may not provide required illumination in the freezer compartment (FS) as the illumination of the lights (FL) is directed away from the freezer compartment (FS). A user may find difficulty in selecting the required article(s) from the freezer compartment (FS). Focusing the light onto the articles stored inside the freezer compartment is one of the challenges posed to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM’s). In some cases, each light (FL) is an AC light bulb which is operated by a switch that is integrated with the light housing. Each switch is used to automatically switch on or off the light (FL) based on movement of corresponding lid (FD) to the open position or the closed position respectively. However, integrating the switch in the light housing is complex. In other cases, each light (FL) is a LED light which is operated by a switch integrated with a printed circuit board (PCB). The switch in combination with the PCB is used to automatically switch on or off the light (FL) based on movement of the lid (FD) to the open position or the closed position respectively. However, PCB and the integration of the switch with the PCB is complex in design and incurs high cost. Further, the disposal of PCB results in E-waste thereby causing environmental pollution when the PCB is replaced. Further, the replacement or servicing of the PCB and/or the switches and LED lights requires technicians and also incur high service and/or replacement costs.
[003] Therefore, there exists a need for storage devices and method of mounting light(s) in the storage devices, which obviates the aforementioned drawbacks.

The light (104, 204, 304, 404) is always focused onto articles stored in the storage compartment (101, 201, 301, 401).
[0036] The method (20) includes, mounting one end of the light accommodating unit (202) to a side wall (201SW) and mounting another end of the light accommodating unit (202) to another side wall (201SW) of the storage compartment (201).
[0037] The method (20) includes, mounting one end of the light accommodating unit (302) to a front wall (301FW) and mounting another end of the light accommodating unit (302) to a rear wall (301RW) of the storage compartment (301).
[0038] The method (20) includes, mounting the light accommodating unit (402F, 402S) to a corresponding side wall (401SW) and a front wall (401FW) or a rear wall (401RW) of the storage compartment (401).
[0039] The foregoing description of the specific embodiments will so fully reveal the general nature of the embodiments herein that others can, by applying current knowledge, readily modify and/or adapt for various applications such specific embodiments without departing from the generic concept, and, therefore, such adaptations and modifications should and are intended to be comprehended within the meaning and range of equivalents of the disclosed embodiments.
