Abstract: This method for manufacturing a structural member (10) comprises: a preparation step for preparing a material (M); and a molding step for molding the material (M) into a structural member (10) using a metallic mold (20). The structural member (10) comprises a member body (11), a first flange (12), and a second flange (13). The metallic mold (20) comprises: an upper mold (23); a first lower mold (21) for molding the member body (11) and the first flange (12); and a second lower mold (22) for molding the second flange (13). The molding step comprises: a first step where the material (M) is held between the upper mold (23) and the first lower mold (21), while the material (M) is not held between the upper mold (23) and the second lower mold (22); and a second step where, following the first step, the second flange (13) is molded by holding the material (M) between the upper mold (23) and the second lower mold (22).
