"Submerged Nozzle For Continuous Casting"
Abstract: Provided is a submerged nozzle for continuous casting which discharges a molten steel into a casting mold for continuous casting of an iron steel, the submerged nozzle comprising a cylindrical nozzle main body, wherein: four molten steel discharge ports are formed at a top left, a bottom left, a top right, and a bottom right of a bottom end of the nozzle main body which is to be submerged into the molten steel in the casting mold; the two discharge ports in the left and the two discharge ports in the right have a substantially symmetric shape around an axis of the nozzle; the discharge ports in the left face a left short inner wall of the casting mold; the discharge ports in the right face a right short inner wall of the casting mold; an port area of the discharge ports in the bottom is smaller than an port area of the discharge ports in the top; and a ratio of the port area of the discharge ports in the bottom to a total of the port areas of the discharge ports in the top and bottom is 0.2 to 0.4.
