DESC:Field of Invention:
The present invention relates to the flash-based three dimensional representations of components through a web application. Said application is completely novel in its graphical user interface and functionality. Said approach depicts a novel approach for providing the virtual three dimensional representation facilities for end user to get familiarized with full three dimensional views of different components.
Background and Objectives of the invention:
A website is a collection of web pages, images, videos, audio files, and/or other content that is hosted on one or more web servers. A website may contain any quantity of web pages and other items/assets of content, including hundreds, thousands, millions, or even more such items of content. All publicly accessible websites collectively form the “World Wide Web.” It has been estimated that the total number of web pages accessible on the World Wide Web is approaching 10 billion.
The Present invention facilitates a new approach towards displaying and representing the categorized component/information virtually using three dimensional flash scripting means. Said invention provides well-segmented arrangement for the displaying of components in three dimensions. The invention, connect traders and customers and provide opportunities for the customers to select the best possible product to suit his/her taste with the intended environment. This is achieved by enabling the customers to visualize a chosen product with his/her self or on behalf of somebody else or with the intended environment where the product to be located/used.
However, in comparison with real objects, the aforesaid digital world allows us to generate a new object after every database query, thus adjusting the number of components depending on the number of retrieved items. Consider the case of an end user looking for components either in door category or in lock category. The database might return pictures, descriptions, or samples from door and lock components. Many rules and algorithms can be followed to generate an appropriate presentation using flash based scripting, whether there should be one component per category or one component included all the subcategories.
In a facet of present invention, a method is provided for updating, modifying and accessing the components visible in three dimensional views to the end user. Objects are treated in such a way as to appear to be real objects animated on standard web pages, whilst the user can freely move, rotate and generally interact with the aforementioned objects to best visualize the information present on the outer surfaces. The main characteristic of the present invention lies in the fact that html pages can superimpose over the entire surface of the object, so that each face of such object behaves like a web browser of the standard type, supporting its typical functions.
Present invention uses two-tier architecture in an innovative way for visualizing three dimensional components, wherein the client requests resources and the server responds directly to the request, using its own resources. This means that the server does not call on another application in order to provide part of the service. In two-tier architecture, back end/controlling end is developed in database query language i.e. mysql and programming language is Java and XML; while front end/end user access the application in three dimensional player enabled web crawler using flash player and html coded web pages.
Entire system of the present invention comprises of two functioning modules: first is the web server and second is the end user. Web server is used to store the web pages containing three dimensional objects/components. End user accesses the applications for viewing the contents in three dimensional views.
Three dimensional aspect of application manage the interaction with the user who, within the possible restrictions in three dimensional movements, is capable of manipulating the object in the space of the active component which contains it. End user is enabled to select a location on the surface of the three dimensional object.
In present invention, a three-dimensional object is displayed having a surface. Each location of the surface of the three-dimensional object corresponds to a portion of the determined amount of available content contained by the website. A user is enabled to select a location of the surface of the three-dimensional object. The selected location is mapped to the corresponding portion of the determined amount of available content contained by the website. Each location of the surface of the displayed three-dimensional object corresponding to a portion of a determined amount of content contained by the website, wherein the displayed three-dimensional object comprises a graphically overlaid image as the surface of the three-dimensional object, the image being segmented in a manner that corresponds to the number of content items contained by the entirety of the website.
Detailed Description of The Invention:
Present invention uses flash scripting based three dimensional visualization of the components provides visualization service to the customer, where they can virtually match the selected product in the intended environment. Thereby customers can experience best suited product amongst vast market without physical presence of the products.
The three dimensional visualization frameworks enable the customer to sense the imaginative and inventive value of the product by way of virtual reality. The end user can virtually bring the product to its environment where it is going to be used. This feature is achieved by manipulating objects in multiple layers of the web browser. During the visualization process, an end user performs activities such as scaling, rotating, tilting, and changing of the model. One can think of this way of visualization as a virtual room, a place never visited before. Traders are getting chance to tap the mass market where inventive values of the products are appreciated. Aforesaid three dimensional visualization of product will provide such market data to the traders where they can come up with better marketing strategies to increase the market share.
The present specification discloses one or more embodiments that incorporate the features of the invention. The disclosed embodiment(s) merely epitomize the invention. The scope of the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiment(s). Further, when a particular feature, structure, or characteristic is described in connection with an embodiment, it is submitted that it is within the knowledge of one skilled in the art to affect such feature, structure, or characteristic in connection with other embodiments whether or not explicitly described.
Embodiments of the present invention enable users to ascertain the scope of websites, and provide users with convenient access to the content of one or more components accordingly to their respective categories. In an embodiment, content of one or more components accordingly to their respective categories’ is displayed in a graphical representation as a three-dimensional object. Different locations of the surface of the three-dimensional object represent/correspond to different portions of the content of the one or more components accordingly to their respective categories.
three-dimensional object, such as by enabling the user to zoom in/out, spin, rotate, and/or otherwise manipulate the three-dimensional object. In an embodiment, when a user selects (e.g., uses a pointer device to click on) a location of the three-dimensional object, the user traverses to content of the website corresponding to the selected location. The content may be displayed in a browser window adjacent to the three-dimensional object, on the three-dimensional object, and/or at other location.
The accompanying drawings, which are incorporated herein and form a part of the specification, illustrate the present invention and, together with the description, further serve to explain the principles of the invention and to enable a person skilled in the pertinent art to make and use the invention.
FIG. 1 shows a systematic diagram displaying steps for visualizing a website, according to an example embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 2 shows a website three dimensional visualization system, according to an example embodiment of the present invention.
As depicted in figure 1 and figure 2, firstly the user interacts with the web page through the means of web crawler. Said web crawler sends the request to the web server according to the category selected by the end user. Said system includes a mapping module that maps the three dimensional object located on the web database according to the request send by web browser on web server. After the aforesaid process, requested three dimension enabled object is displayed on the web page. When a user selects a location on the surface of three dimensional objects, coordinates of location are generated and transmitted to web server, wherein mapping module traverse back the desired object location to the web browser, so that the user will get the desired view of the product.
Advantages of the present invention enable users to ascertain the scope of websites, and provide users with convenient access to the content of one or more components accordingly to their respective categories. The proposed approach creates a new paradigm in product advertising in digital world. In an embodiment of present disclosure, content of one or more components accordingly to their respective categories’ is displayed in a graphical representation as a three-dimensional object to the end user.
