Abstract: An edible formulation and methods of production thereof, the formulation including: (a) sweetener particles containing at least one of a sweetener carbohydrate and a sweetener polyol; and (b) a first protein disposed within the sweetener particles, the first protein including an egg protein; wherein a weight-to-weight ratio of the first protein to the sweetener within the sweetener particles is within a range of 0.02% to 0.7%; and wherein the sweetener within the sweetener particles is predominantly crystalline.
