Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a switchgear cabinet that includes a base member, and a vertical member configured with the base member. The vertical member includes one or more openings corresponding to one or more guide rails of a vacuum circuit breaker. The one or more openings facilitates a passage for the VCB inside the cabinet. One or more closing members movably configured, with the one or more openings for covering the one or more openings. The one or more closing members are moved from a first position to a second position for covering the one or more openings. A door pivotally coupled with the cabinet and includes one or more arms. The one or more arms engages with the one or more closing members, while closing the door, to move the one or more covering members to the second position.

Specification

The present disclosure relates to the field of switchgear. More
particularly the present disclosure relates to a mechanism for insertion/withdrawal of vacuum circuit breaker inside the switchgear.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Background description includes information that may be useful in
understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the
information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed
invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
[0003] In floor rolled type air insulated switchgear gap of the path which
is there inside the panel for passage of vacuum circuit breaker needs to be closed to achieve ingress of protection. Otherwise, rodents or small animals like can easily get inside and can damage electrical wirings and other electric components. Generally, this is done manually using flaps provided to close the passage. However, if the operator forgets to operate the flap to close the gap, then foreign particles, small animals may go inside the panel and lead to damage the switchgear parts.
[0004] There is, therefore, a need of an automatic closure of the gaps or
passage for the VCB with respect to the switchgear after the VCB is inserted in or withdrawn out of the switchgear cabinet.
OBJECTS OF THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE
[0005] Some of the objects of the present disclosure, which at least one
embodiment herein satisfies are as listed herein below.
[0006] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a switchgear
cabinet with door dependent closing of gaps or openings in cabinet of the
switchgear after panel door is closed.
[0007] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a switchgear
cabinet with increase safety for different electrical parts inside the cabinet from
unwelcomed creatures such as rodents.

[0008] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a switchgear
cabinet, which is easy to operate.
[0009] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a switchgear
cabinet, which requires less maintenance cost.
SUMMARY
[0010] The present disclosure relates to the field of switchgear. More
particularly the present disclosure relates to a mechanism for insertion/withdrawal
of vacuum circuit breaker inside the switchgear.
[0011] An aspect of the present disclosure pertains to a switchgear
cabinet. The switchgear cabinet include a base member, a vertical member
configured at an open end of the base member. The vertical member includes one
or more openings corresponding to one or more guide rails of a vacuum circuit
breaker. The one or more openings facilitates a passage for the VCB inside the
cabinet. One or more closing members movably configured, with the one or more
openings for covering the one or more openings. The one or more closing
members are moved from a first position to a second position for covering the one
or more openings. A door pivotally coupled with the cabinet for closing the
cabinet. The door includes one or more arms at a predefined angle with a
longitudinal axis of the door. The one or more arms are configured to engage with
the one or more closing members, while closing the door, to move the one or
more covering members to the second position.
[0012] In an aspect, the one or more closing members may be retractable
and comes to the first position when the door opens.
[0013] In an aspect, the one or more openings may be made of any or
combination of metal, and plastic.
[0014] In an aspect, the one or more arms may be made of any or
combination of metal, and plastic.
[0015] In an aspect, the one or more closing members may be retractably
coupled with one or more reference positions through a spring.

coupled to each other through a spring.
[0017] In an aspect, the one or more closing arms may be engaged with, to
close the one or more closing members, one or more protrusions configured on the
one or more closing members.

[0026] The present disclosure relates to the field of switchgear. More
particularly the present disclosure relates to a mechanism for insertion/withdrawal of vacuum circuit breaker inside the switchgear.
[0027] The present disclosure elaborates upon a switchgear cabinet. The
switchgear cabinet include a base member, a vertical member configured at an open end of the base member. The vertical member includes one or more openings corresponding to one or more guide rails of a vacuum circuit breaker. The one or more openings facilitates a passage for the VCB inside the cabinet. One or more closing members movably configured, with the one or more openings for covering the one or more openings. The one or more closing members are moved from a first position to a second position for covering the one or more openings. A door pivotally coupled with the cabinet for closing the cabinet. The door includes one or more arms at a predefined angle with a longitudinal axis of the door. The one or more arms are configured to engage with

the one or more closing members, while closing the door, to move the one or
more covering members to the second position.

[0037] The present disclosure pertains to a switchgear cabinet. The
switchgear cabinet include a base member, a vertical member 104 configured at
an open end 106 of the base member 102. The vertical member 104 can include
one or more openings 108 corresponding to one or more guide rails 120 of a
vacuum circuit breaker 118. The VCB can be adapted to move in or out of the

cabinet by sliding the VCB through the one or more openings 108. The one or
more openings facilitates a passage for the VCB inside the cabinet.
[0038] In an embodiment, the vertical member can include one or more
closing members 110 that can be movably configured with the one or more openings 108. The one or more closing members 110 can be configured to cover the one or more openings 108. The one or more closing members 110 can be moved or slide from a first position to a second position, over the vertical member 104, for covering the one or more openings 108. When the one or more closing members 110 are at the first position the one or more openings 108 can be uncovered and when the one or more closing members 110 are at the second position the one or more openings 108 can be covered by the one or more closing members 110.
[0039] In an embodiment, a door 112 can be pivotally coupled with the
cabinet and can be configured for closing the cabinet. The door 110 can include one or more arms 114 at a predefined angle with a longitudinal axis of the door 112. The one or more arms 114 can be configured, on closing, to engage with the one or more closing members. When the door closes the one or more arms 114 can be engaged with the one or more closing members to move them to the second position facilitating covering the one or more openings 108. The one or more closing arms 114 can be engaged with one or more protrusions 122 configured on the one or more closing members 110 to close the one or more closing members.
[0040] In an embodiment, the one or more closing members 110 can be
retractable and comes to the first position when the door 112 opens. The one or more openings 108 can be made of any or combination of metal, fibre, and plastic. The one or more arms 114 can be made of any or combination of metal, fibre, and plastic. The one or more closing members 110 can be retractably coupled with one or more reference positions (not shown) through a spring. In another embodiment, the one or more closing members can be retractably coupled to each other through a spring.

ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION
[0043] The proposed invention provides a switchgear cabinet with door
dependent closing of gaps or openings in cabinet of the switchgear after panel
door is closed.
[0044] The proposed invention provides a switchgear cabinet with
increase safety for different electrical parts inside the cabinet from unwelcomed
creatures such as rodents.
[0045] The proposed invention provides a switchgear cabinet, which is
easy to operate.
[0046] The proposed invention provides a switchgear cabinet, which
requires less maintenance cost.

We Claim:
1. A switchgear cabinet comprising:
a base member (102);
a vertical member (104) configured at an open end (106) of the base member (102), and the vertical member (104) comprises:
one or more openings (108), corresponding to one or more
guide rails (120) of a vacuum circuit breaker (118), for facilitating
a passage for the VCB inside the cabinet, and
one or more closing members (110) movably configured,
for covering the one or more openings (108), with the one or more
openings (108), wherein the one or more closing members (110)
are moved from a first position to a second position for covering
the one or more openings (108); and
a door (112) pivotally, coupled with the cabinet for closing the cabinet, comprises one or more arms (114) at a predefined angle with a longitudinal axis of the door (112), wherein the one or more arms (114) are configured to engage, while closing the door (112), with the one or more closing members (108) to move the one or more closing members (110) to the second position.
2. The switchgear cabinet as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more closing arms (114) are engaged with, to close the one or more closing members (110), one or more protrusions (122) configured on the one or more closing members (110).
3. The switchgear cabinet as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more closing members (110) are retractable and comes to the first position when the door opens.
4. The switchgear cabinet as claimed in claim 3, wherein the one or more closing members (110) are retractably coupled with one or more reference positions through a spring (116).

5. The switchgear cabinet as claimed in claim 3, wherein the one or more closing members (110) are retractably coupled to each other through a spring (116).
6. The switchgear cabinet as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more closing members (110) are made of any or combination of metal, fibre, and plastic.
7. The switchgear cabinet as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more arms (114) are made of any or combination of metal, fibre, and plastic.
