[0003] Conventionally, switchgears include a number of electrical
components such as busbar compartment 102, circuit breaker (CB) compartment 104, and cable connection (CC) compartment 102, as shown in FIG. 1. These compartments are very highly electrically charged or energized when the switchgear is in operating mode, there requires a time-to-time maintenance or breakdown maintenance of the switchgear. Loss of service continuity is referred to as ability to access or install the relevant compartment of the switchgear when the other compartments are live or energized, without shutting down the complete switchgear. The loss of continuity categories is divided into four categories LSC1, LSC2, LSCA1, LSC2A, and LSC2B.
[0004] Generally, the switchgear which includes LSC2A LSC category as
shown in FIG. 1. If the master circuit breaker (MCB) is off, then CB compartment 104 as well as CC Compartment 106 can be accessed, even if busbar is Live. The access to Circuit breaker compartment 104 and Cable connection compartment 106 can be taken by first opening a circuit breaker whose operating height is at 1300mm from ground level. After opening, disconnector earthing switch can be accessed, whose operating height is 1800mm. When, disconnector Switch is in earth position and circuit breaker is closed, both circuit breaker compartment 104 and cable connection compartment 106 are earthed, and the access can be taken, even if Busbar is live. With LSC2A in case one want to access the circuit breaker

compartment 104, one has to also earth the cable connection compartment 106
along.
[0005] There is, therefore, a need of an improver switchgear with
improved LSC category which allows accessing the circuit breaker compartment
104, keeping the busbar compartment 102 and cable connection compartment 106
live or energized.
