Abstract: The external interface is a digital bridge between data processing device and synchronous dynamic memory. It accepts any general purpose memory control cycle and generates the digital fabric to access any synchronous dynamic memory device.

CLIAMS:Accordingly, the description of the present invention is to be considered as illustrative only and is for the purpose of teaching those skilled in the art of the best mode of carrying out the invention. The details may be varied substantially without departing from the spirit of the invention, and exclusive use of all modifications which are within the scope of the appended claims is reserved.

We Claim that:

1. The interface comprising, i) A programmable logic device hardware ii) Configuration details in hardware description language iii) electronic circuit elements

2. The interface as in the claim 1, is capable of interfacing with any data processing device having memory access capability.

3. The interface as in claim 1, is capable of interfacing with any synchronous dynamic memory device.

4. The interface as in claim 3, is capable of providing data refresh mechanism for synchronous dynamic device to retain the content.

5. The interface as in claim 2, is capable of providing data synchronization of read and write operations of synchronous dynamic memory device for data processing device.

6. The interface as in Claim 1, is capable of operating to withstand extreme operating environments including temperature (High & Low), altitude, crash hazard shock, vibration, pressure (Low & High), low temperature storage, fungus, functional shock, bench handling, gunfire vibration, EMI/EMC, Combined Altitude Temperature & Humidity (CATH) and Linear Acceleration. ,TagSPECI:Refer Annexure-1
