Synthesis Of Nanoparticles Of Chromium Oxide Using Plant Extract Through Dmso (Dimethyl Sulfoxide)
Abstract: ABSTRACT Synthesis of nanoparticle of chromium oxide using plant extract through DMSO {Dimethyl Sulfoxide) solvent is a method of synthesizing chromium oxide nanoparticles, comprising the steps of providing a solution ofchromium ions & providing plant extract solution and combining the chromium ion solution and the plant extract solution while stirring at a temperature of 40° C to produce the chromium oxide nanoparticles. In where Chromium nitrate nonhydrate (Cr(N03)3.9H20 ) used as a chromium ion source, DMSO used as a solvent and plant extract used as a reducing agent, Incubation period results in a change of color of the mixture to Black which is a visual confirmation of the synthesized MPs. Further, synthesized nanoparticles are further characterized using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). .Fig 1

1. 3. The method of synthesizing chromium oxide nanoparticles according to claim 1, where DMSO used as a solvent.
4. The method of synthesizing chromium oxide nanoparticles according to claim 1, where unknown plant extract used as a reducing agent.
5. The method of synthesizing chromium oxide nanopartictes according to claim 1, wherein said chromium oxide nanoparticles have a mean diameter in the range from about 89 to about 97 nm.
