, Description:FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for 360-degree view of customer by using big data technology. The invention is related to retail sector, which are now well developed due to upcoming technologies. Big data is one of the best technologies which can be effectively used for retailing.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
Customer 360 is the idea that companies can get a complete view of customers by aggregating data from the various touch points that a customer may use to contact a company to purchase products and receive service and support.
A 360-degree approach is about taking an informed and holistic view of the entire customer journey – from discovery, all the way through to purchase, with an informed and data-led action plan designed to move this process along as smoothly as possible.
The 360-degree customer view is the idea, sometimes considered unattainable, that companies can get a complete view of customers by aggregating data from the various touch points that a customer may use to contact a company to purchase products and receive service and support.
Currently, the existing IT infrastructures and data warehouse made it a struggle to capture and analyse the unstructured clickstream data together with the structured data at the necessary speed and scale to be able to implement a real personalized experience online for each of the retailer’s customers. Additionally, the retailer needed a better way to respond in terms of the volume of and speed of incoming updated data.
The present invention gives the solution to above problem.
The present invention discloses the system and method for 360-degree view of customer by using big data technology. One of the most common ways that big data is collected in the retain industry is through loyalty programs. Retailers uses big data to recommend items for customer based on customer’s past searches and purchases.
Big Data Technology can be defined as a Software-Utility that is designed to Analyse, Process and Extract the information from an extremely complex and large data sets which the Traditional Data Processing Software could never deal with.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is that, the system and method for 360-degree customer view by using big data technology.
Another object of the invention is that, retailers use big data to get information about customer’s past searches.
Another object of the invention is that, retailers use big data to get information about customer’s past purchases.
Other object of the invention is that, retailers use big data for recommendation of items for customer depending upon customer’s past searches and purchase.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for 360-degree of customer view by using big data technology. The web application of 360-degree of customer view is created. User/retail team member open the web application. Big data technology help retailer by providing information about customer’s past searches and past purchases. And give the retail team member suggestion which items should be recommend to customer.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
Fig 1 shows flowchart of the system and method for this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for 360-degree customer view by using big data technology.
Big data is the vast volume of structured or unstructured data that is readily available at our collective fingertips. These large data sets are analysed to reveal previously unknown patterns and provide insights into businesses, human behaviour, and more. Big data analysis is used for everything from financial services, to gauging someone’s productivity, to even monitoring the weather.
The key feature of big data is to analyse, understand and interpret it in order to give user a full a picture as possible about the 360-degree of customer view.
The system and method for 360-degree customer view by using big data technology is comprising of the contents such as;
Any high definition computing device
The 360-degree of customer view web application
Any open-source framework like Hadoop for data analysis which stored data on big data
Big data consists of five stages such as-
Data sources- web and social media, machines, Sensing, IoT
Content format – structured, semi-structured, unstructured data
Data stores – document oriented, column oriented, graph database, key value
Data Staging – cleaning, transform and normalization
Data processing – Batch and real time
The system and method of 360-degree of customer view by using big data technology is comprising of the following steps such as;
Step 1) The 360-degree customer view web application is created
Step 2) User/retail team member open the web application
Step 3) Big data technology provide information such as customer’s past searches and purchases to the web application
Step 4) User/retail team member can see the information provided by big data technology
Step 5) Application gives suggestion to user/retail team member which items should be recommend to customer
The role of big data technology in invention application is as follows –
To get clear view or say 360-degree view of customer, all the information related to customer should be available to retailers. Here big data plays vital role. Big data is used to get information related to customer past searches items and past purchases items. And based on that it suggests retailers which items should be recommend to customer.
Use of big data is looking promising in the retail field and it can become a standard in the future.
The invention application has some advantages for the invented system, such as;
Enhanced customer intelligence
Superior predicative analysis - It’s not just about what customer has done it’s also about where they’re going. Since it provides enhanced customer intelligence, retailers can use this data to drive predictive analytics. It’s about taking that complete picture of the customer’s situation — drawing on their accounts, transactions, priorities and service calls — and predicting where they’re headed and what they’ll need in the future. As such, retailer sales representatives can anticipate and act upon opportunities for re-ordering, upgrades, and cross-selling.
Predictive analytics are also beneficial in helping retailer team leaders and executives develop sophisticated strategies. If retailer trying to forecast how customers might respond to changing products, timelines or campaigns, so by using 360-degree view of past customer behaviour to predict their future actions.

Seamless customer service - Customer relationships aren’t just about sales. Service is a big part of the customer journey and each customer’s happiness. A prudent company doesn’t prepare for the “if” moment the possibility that a customer might need help making their product run smoothly. Instead, the smart ones prepare for the “when” moment the reality that there will be times when they must jump into action to address concerns or difficulties. How retailers handle those challenging calls makes all the difference to the customer’s experience. That’s why a 360-degree view is essential. Don’t make customers do any extra work to explain their needs or provide details about their purchase. Instead, give service agents the tools they need to assess the situation quickly and respond competently.
Improved customer loyalty - By anticipating customer needs and developing a strategic communication plan, retailers can keep business top-of-mind. For instance, retailer might use CRM to schedule reminders for follow-up calls at specific intervals or to send targeted email campaigns based on customer history.
