Abstract: The various embodiments of the present invention provide a system and a method for an automated sports coaching to human users. The embodiments also provide a system and a method that enables contextual sports coaching and real-time sports performance feedback to users without an external human intervention. The system is configured to contextually identify the strengths of a user in a sport and provide insights on the style of play to be adopted by the user. The human users activate their digital profile through authentication on the sensor module. The computing module identifies the role of the human user through the sensor module, records the data related to the gameplay in the digital storage module, analyses the human user’s gameplay and renders preset information on computing devices connected to the system. Based on the analyses, a real-time feedback about the gameplay is provided to the human user in audio and visual format.

The present invention is particularly related to a system and a method for providing an automated sports coaching to human users. The system is more particularly related to a system and a method to provide contextual sports coaching and real-time sports performance feedback to users without an external human intervention.

Thanks to improved data handling and processing capabilities, and the ever-improving Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems, a lot of data crunching and analysis is carried out on today’s sports performances. Most of such applications are focused on using data driven systems to improve the performance and maximize the utilization of the full potential of a human user.

What is claimed is:
1. A system for providing a real-time feedback on sports performance of human users and enabling a contextual sports coaching to the human users without an external human intervention, the system comprising:
a sensor module, wherein the sensor module comprises a plurality of sensors;
a feedback module, wherein the feedback module comprises a plurality of digital output mechanisms to provide real-time feedback to a human user;
a computing module, wherein the computing module is configured to receive inputs from the sensor module and enable wired and wireless digital communication between the plurality of modules through a preset communication module;
a digital storage module, wherein the digital storage module is configured to communicably couple with the computing module and store all the digital data collected by the sensor module, and wherein the digital storage module is also configured to store a plurality of preset database of information relevant to a plurality of sports activities;
an Artificial Intelligence (AI) module;
an Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality/Mixed Reality (AR/VR/MR) module; and,
a rendering module, wherein the rendering module is configured to render the feedback generated to a plurality of output devices through wired or wireless means.

The system according to claim 1, wherein the sensor module further comprises a plurality of sensors including inertial sensors such as an accelerometer, a magnetometer, a gyroscope, piezoelectric sensors, pressure sensors, imaging sensors such as photo camera, video camera, motion capture devices, audio sensors such as a microphone, proximity and motion sensors such as infra-red sensors and ultrasonic sensors, and wherein the plurality of sensors is placed on the human user’s attire, playing equipment, specific installations on the playing arena/field and integrated intrusively/non-intrusively on the structures in the arena/field, and wherein the placement of sensors is such that the data capture of the sensors is enabled in optimized manner.

The system according to claim 1, the feedback module is configured to provide real-time feedback to a human user about the gameplay, and wherein the feedback module comprises a plurality of feedback devices such as an audio speaker, a display device, LEDs and a plurality of actuators connected to the playing equipment, and wherein the feedback devices are placed on the human user’s attire, playing equipment, specific installations on the playing arena/field and integrated intrusively/non-intrusively on the structures in the arena/field, and wherein the feedback devices are activated through triggers from the computing device and provide contextual feedback to the human user.

The system according to claim 1, wherein the AI module is configured to access the data captured from the sensor module and analyze the observed data with reference to preset data stored in the digital storage module, and wherein the AI module is also configured to search and identify relevant information from external networks such as the Internet or preset data storage servers through the communication module, and wherein the data accessed enables the AI module to identify patterns and similarities in the style of play of the human user, and wherein the AI module is also configured to arrive at decisions based on the analysis and provide real-time feedback and suggestions that are communicated to the human user through the feedback module.
5. The system according to claim 1, an Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality/Mixed Reality (AR/VR/MR) module is provided to enable a human user to engage in gameplay using real sporting equipment and apparatus, which are combined with AR/VR/MR experiences to provide a comprehensive gameplay experience, and wherein the insights and analytics from the experience are utilized as data by the AI module to identify the style of play of the human user and provide real-time feedback.
6. A method for providing a real-time feedback on sports performance of human users and enabling a contextual sports coaching to the human users without an external human intervention, the method comprising:
creating a digital profile for a human user engaged in the sport activity;
activating the digital profile through unique authentication by the human user on the sensor module;
identifying the role of the human user in the game automatically by the computing module through data received from the sensor module;
recording real-time data pertaining to the gameplay and the performance of the human user in the digital storage module, wherein the real-time data is obtained as inputs received from a plurality of sensors comprised in the sensor module;
identifying a style of play and quantifying the performance of the human user based on an analysis of data observed and obtained from the sensor module and preset reference data stored in the digital storage module;
rendering contextual information related to the performance of the human user on a plurality of computing devices connected through the communication module; and,
providing a real-time feedback about the gameplay to the human user by generating contextual audio and video output that are rendered in suitable feedback devices.

The method according to claim 6, wherein capturing data of the human user’s performance in an optimized manner is enabled by the sensor module, and wherein the sensor module further comprises a plurality of sensors including inertial sensors such as an accelerometer, a magnetometer, a gyroscope, piezoelectric sensors, pressure sensors, imaging sensors such as photo camera, video camera, motion capture devices, audio sensors such as a microphone, proximity and motion sensors such as infra-red sensors and ultrasonic sensors, and wherein the plurality of sensors is placed on the human user’s attire, playing equipment, specific installations on the playing arena/field and integrated intrusively/non-intrusively on the structures in the arena/field.

The method according to claim 6, wherein providing a real-time feedback to a human user about the gameplay is enabled by the feedback module, and wherein the feedback module comprises a plurality of feedback devices such as an audio speaker, a display device, LEDs and a plurality of actuators connected to the playing equipment, and wherein the feedback devices are placed on the human user’s attire, playing equipment, specific installations on the playing arena/field and integrated intrusively/non-intrusively on the structures in the arena/field, and wherein the feedback devices are activated through triggers from the computing device and provide contextual feedback to the human user.

The method according to claim 6, wherein accessing the data captured from the sensor module and analyzing the observed data with reference to preset data stored in the digital storage is performed by the AI module, and wherein the AI module is also configured to search and identify relevant information from external networks such as the Internet or preset data storage servers through the communication module, and wherein the data accessed enables the AI module to identify patterns and similarities in the style of play of the human user, and wherein the AI module is also configured to arrive at decisions based on the analysis and provide real-time feedback and suggestions that are communicated to the human user through the feedback module.

The method according to claim 6, wherein enabling a human user to engage in gameplay using real sporting equipment and apparatus that are combined with AR/VR/MR experiences for providing a comprehensive gameplay experience, is provided by an Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality/Mixed Reality (AR/VR/MR) module, and wherein the insights and analytics from the experience are utilized as data by the AI module to identify the style of play of the human user and provide real-time feedback.
