The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed
BACKGROUND
Field of Invention
[001] Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to checking of vaccination status and particularly to a system and method for checking a Coronavirus vaccination status.
Description of Related Art
[002] Coronavirus disease is an infectious disease caused by a Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Older people and those with medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease and cancer could develop severe illness. Social distancing is one of a solution to this disease. Although vaccination for the Coronavirus disease is available now; however, maintaining a safe distance from another user is still important. Since now, offices and educational institutions are re-opening, it becomes imperative to check whether users have been vaccinated or not. Manual checking of vaccination certificate of each user to see if he/she is vaccinated or not, and if vaccinated then check whether he/she has been vaccinated with one dose or both doses. For example, if there are 3000 students in a school, it is very difficult to check a Coronavirus vaccination status of 3000 students on a daily basis.
[003] Conventionally available methods only provide information regarding which vaccine (i.e., Covaxin or Covishield) has been injected but does not provide information whether an individual has been vaccinated with a single dose, both the doses or none of the dose. As government and the educational institutions are re-opening, the Coronavirus vaccination status is required; however, manual checking of the vaccination certificate is cumbersome, time consuming and violates a social distancing protocol.
[004] There is thus a need for an advanced and more effective system and method for checking the Coronavirus vaccination status that can administer the drawbacks faced by the conventional system and method.
