Abstract: The invention discloses the system and method for concrete curing monitoring by using internet of things (IoT) technology. The invention application is installed at smart phone. At very initial stage, number of sensors are embedded with concrete and that concrete used for building structure. Construction team member open application on smart phone, sensors sense data related to concrete curing and send it to smart phone. Team member can understand the status of concrete curing.

1) The concrete curing monitoring by using Internet of Things (IoT) comprising of;
a. Any high definition smart phone – storing data from smart sensors and invention application is installed;
b. Sensors – sense whether particular structure’s concrete curing is done or not and send data to smart phone; and
c. Wi-Fi modem – maintain connectivity between smart phone and sensors.
2) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, number of sensors are embedded with concrete.
3) The system claimed in claim1 wherein, sensors sense various parametric value of concrete curing.
4) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, sensor send data to smart phone.
, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for concrete curing monitoring by using Internet of Things (IoT). The present invention relates to generally to the concrete curing process of construction field.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Concrete curing is the process of maintaining adequate moisture in concrete within a proper temperature range in order to aid cement hydration at early ages. Hydration is the chemical reaction between cement and water that results in the formation of various chemicals contributing to setting and hardening.
Curing is the process of controlling the rate and extent of moisture loss from concrete during cement hydration. Curing by continuously wetting the exposed surface thereby preventing the loss of moisture from it. Concrete that is allowed to dry out quickly also undergoes considerable early age drying shrinkage.
Curing is a method to keep concrete moist and required temperature within range, which will result in complete chemical reaction of cement water and will give desire strength and durability. Nowadays so many curing methods are adopted.
When concrete is not cured properly, its durability, strength and abrasive resistance are affected. Due to inadequate curing, concrete develops plastic shrinkage cracks, thermal cracks, along with a considerable loss in the strength of the surface layer.
Currently there is no such system which should tell when curing is completed.
The present invention solves the above problem with the help of Internet of Things (IoT) technology. With the help of internet of things enabled sensors concrete curing is monitored.
The phrase the Internet of Things (IoT) means any object or machine component can have sensors installed to monitor operating conditions, performance levels and/or physical states. In the construction industry, this commonly refers to telematics. The Internet of Things isn't just permeating the construction industry.
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of connected devices embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and so on which enable these objects to collect and exchange data.
The concept of IoT has many applications depending on the physical devices that are connected and one of the most remarkable applications of IoT in construction sector is concrete curing monitoring.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is that, the system and method for concrete curing monitoring by using Internet of Things (IoT).
Another object of the invention is that, Internet of things enabled sensors are embedded with concrete.
Other object of the invention is that, embedded sensors follow the curing of curing of concrete.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for concrete curing monitoring by using Internet of Things (IoT). The concrete curing monitoring application is installed at smart phone. At very initial stage number of sensors embedded with concrete. Wi-Fi modem are installed for connectivity between sensors and smart phone. Construction team member open the application. Team member can see the data of sensors, from which team member can make decision whether concrete curing is proper or not.

Fig 1 shows flowchart of the method and computer program for this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for concrete curing monitoring by using Internet of Things (IoT).
Internet of Things (IoT) has many applications depending on the physical devices that are connected and one of the most remarkable applications of IoT in construction is concrete curing.
The method and system for concrete curing monitoring by using Internet of Things (IoT) is comprising of:
Any high definition smart phone – storing data from smart sensors and invention application is installed
Sensors – sense whether curing of concrete is completed or not and send data to smart phone
Wi-Fi Modem – maintain connectivity between smart phone and sensors
The number of sensors which are internet of things enabled are embedded with concrete and that concrete is used in construction structure. This sensor monitors status of concrete curing time to time and when construction team member open invention application on smart phone sensors send data to smart phone. Construction team member can follow up the concrete curing and make a decision whether structure is ready to use or not.
The concrete curing monitoring by using Internet of Things (IoT) is comprising of following steps;
Step 1) The concrete curing monitoring application is installed on smart phone
Step 2) Number of internet of things enabled sensors are embedded with concrete
Step 3) Wi-Fi modem is installed for connectivity between smart phone and sensors
Step 4) Construction team members start the invention application on phone, the sensor sense parametric values of concrete curing and send data to smart phone
Step 5) Team member get all the values related to concrete curing on smart phone
This is the basic model of concrete curing monitoring application. And scope of invention is not limited to this only.
The internet of things enabled sensors are embedded with concrete. That concrete is used in building construction. The sensors sense parametric value of curing. And follow the concrete curing. Sensor send data to cloud with the help of wi-fi modem. As construction team member start the invention application on smart phone, cloud send data to it which is send by sensors. So, team member can get all the status of curing of concrete. And as per the data, team member can take a decision whether particular structure should be open for used or not.
The system and method for concrete curing monitoring by using Internet of Things (IoT) has some advantages such as:
Accurate detection – due to sensors attached to structure it increases the percentage of accuracy to detect concrete curing of structure.
Require less time – as compare to manual checking or monitoring of structural concrete curing, the invention application surely require less time, which result in save in time and money.
Prevent accident – As invention helps to follow the concrete curing, future accident can be prevented.
The invention system provides data about the concrete curing of a structure. Typically, invention system is devoted to monitoring humidity, temperature, accelerations, tensile stress, compressive stress.
Take an example of the invention, for monitoring the concrete curing of structure. With the help of this invention construction team member can understand various parameter of concrete curing of structure.
It’s no longer necessary to send worker to check out everything. The invention solves the all problems related to structural concrete curing monitoring.
