Abstract: The invention discloses system and method for delivery management by using big data technology. Big data analytics allow for real-time delivery management through well-defined system. It analyses information related to weather, traffic and truck location feeds to determine the exact time of delivery. So, delivery manager can see all information related to delivery of order. Sensors are attached to delivery vehicle, which track the exact location of items in case they are separated from the delivery and even let the retailer know if packages have been opened.

Claims:We claim:
1) The system and method for delivery management by using big data technology is comprising of the contents such as;
a. Backend server – An application of delivery management is installed at backend server;
b. Any open-source framework like Hadoop for data analysis which stored data on big data; and
c. An application of delivery management
2) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, it gives all real-time delivery management information to delivery manger.
3) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, it analyses the information related to weather, traffic and truck location to determine the exact time of delivery.
4) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, it is able to improve fraud detection and prevention capabilities.
5) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, it can prevent theft or misplace of a delivery item.
6) The system claimed in claim1 wherein, tracking of high-value item can be done by using sensors attached to it.
, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for delivery management by using big data technology. The invention is related to supply chain, which are now well developed due to upcoming technologies. Big data is one of the best technologies which can be effectively used for delivery management.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The process of delivering goods or services. Supply chain management is concerned with the flow of materials and services, including delivery to the ultimate customer, as well as the associated flows of money and information.
Delivery management is a much broader scale of project management. It is the organization, administration, and supervision of the people, processes, and technologies, which when combined into a comprehensive plan, provides the business and technical functions needed to successfully achieve what a client expects to receive.
Having a good delivery management process in place will also increase company’s efficiency and reduce the amount of time and effort spent dealing with deliveries. Work with an established delivery management company to take control of the delivery process and ensure they arrive to customers on time.
Currently, delivery management is done with particular software application. But as delivery management involves huge data when it comes with tracking of delivery of orders to customers. Then that application may become slow and can not handle such a huge data.
The present invention gives the solution to above problem.
The present invention discloses the system and method for delivery management by using big data technology. Big data analytics are enhancing real-time delivery management by analysing weather, traffic, and truck location feeds to determine the exact time of delivery.
Companies can use big data analytics in their daily operations. Essentially, the system integrates the existing business data with its own metrics, managing the delivery process and improving its efficiency.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is, system and method for delivery management by using big data technology.
Another object of the invention is, big data analytics analyses data for real-time delivery management through well-defined system.
Other object of the invention is, Big data analytics are enhancing real-time delivery management by analysing weather, traffic, and truck location feeds to determine the exact time of delivery.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses system and method for delivery management by using big data technology. Big data analytics allow for real-time delivery management through well-defined system. It analyses information related to weather, traffic and truck location feeds to determine the exact time of delivery. So, delivery manager can see all information related to delivery of order. Sensors are attached to delivery vehicle, which track the exact location of items in case they are separated from the delivery and even let the retailer know if packages have been opened.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Fig 1 shows flowchart of the method and computer program for this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for delivery management in supply chain by using big data technology.
Big data is the vast volume of structured or unstructured data that is readily available at our collective fingertips. These large data sets are analysed to reveal previously unknown patterns and provide insights into businesses, human behaviour, and more. Big data analysis is used for everything from financial services, to gauging someone’s productivity, to even monitoring the weather.
The key feature of big data is to analyse, understand and interpret it in order to give user a full a picture as possible about the delivery management.
The system and method for delivery management by using big data technology is comprising of the contents such as;
Backend server – An application of delivery management is installed at backend server
An application of delivery management
Any open-source framework like Hadoop for data analysis which stored data on big data
Big data consists of five stages such as-
Data sources- web and social media, machines, Sensing, IoT
Content format – structured, semi-structured, unstructured data
Data stores – document oriented, column oriented, graph database, key value
Data Staging – cleaning, transform and normalization
Data processing – Batch and real time
The system and method for delivery management by using big data technology is comprising of the steps are as;
Step 1) Backend server has to be installed delivery management application
Step 2) Delivery Manager open the invention application
Step 3) Delivery manager select particular delivery order number from the list
Step 4) Delivery manager can see information provided by big data related to selected delivery order
Step 5) System helps to delivery manager in tracking the order delivery to customer with the help of big data
Role of Big data in invention application is as:
Delivery management is a fundamental part of the supply chain and big data analytics are enhancing real-time delivery management by analysing weather, traffic, and truck location feeds to determine the exact time of delivery. Sensors are attached to delivery vehicle. The sensors can used to track exact location of delivery items in case they are separated from the delivery and even let the retailer know if packages have been opened.
The invention application has advantage, such as;

As sensor can be attached to high-value item. So, tracking of that item can be done easily.
