Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system for detecting a face mask of a user. The system includes one or more image sensing devices, one or more proximity sensing devices, and a processing unit, having one or more processors, operatively configured with the one or more image sensing devices and the one or more proximity sensing devices. The processing unit being configured to execute a set of instructions stored in a memory, which, on execution, caused the system to receive, from the one or more proximity sensing devices, a set of first signals pertaining to a presence of the user. Capture, with the one or more image capturing devices, one or more images of the user's face and correspondingly generate a set of second signals. Determine using one or more techniques, the face mask worn by the user based on the set of second signals.

More particularly the present disclosure relates to a system and method for detecting if a user is wearing the face mask or not.
BACKGROUND

one infected person to a healthy person. One such example is COVID-19. People suffers from such pandemic on time to time due to lack of awareness and negligence. Government of all countries have spread enough awareness about how we one can avoid being infected from such infections. But still sometime people do not follow protocol and such negligence sometimes can lead to troubles for oneself and others. Now one person is required to keep check on people if they are adhering to the protocols such as wear face mask. Guard or any one has to physically check if the people are wearing mask or not. This is very laborious task and a waste of man power, which could have been used otherwise to some other tasks.

checking facial masks of the users.

detecting a face mask of a user. The system includes one or more image sensing
devices, one or more proximity sensing devices, and a processing unit, having one
or more processors, operatively configured with the one or more image sensing
devices and the one or more proximity sensing devices. The processing unit being
configured to execute a set of instructions stored in a memory, which, on
execution, caused the system to receive, from the one or more proximity sensing
devices, a set of first signals pertaining to a presence of the user. Capture, with the
one or more image capturing devices, one or more images of the user's face and
correspondingly generate a set of second signals. Determine, using one or more
techniques, the face mask worn by the user based on the set of second signals.

sensing devices 104 can be configure to capture one or more images of the user
once the proximity sensing devices 102 sense presence of the user within a
predefined distance. The one or more proximity sensor can include
microelectromechanical sensors.

Execution of the set of instructions can cause the system 100 to receive, from the one or more proximity sensing devices 102, a set of first signals pertaining to a presence of the user, in response to the set of first signals the system 100 can make the one or more image capturing devices 104 to capture one or more images of the user's face and correspondingly generate a set of second signals.

However, if the user is not wearing mask or without mask, the door lock can be configured to remain locked and one or more indication devices 112 can be actuated.

operatively configured with the system, and can include but without limiting to visual indicators such as light emitting devices and a display, and audio indicators. The one or more indicating device can be configured to notify peoples on the other side of door, having the door lock, about the user is not wearing mask. Also, user can be reminded to wear the mask before the door lock 110 is opened. Further, the system can be operatively configured with one or more mobile computing devices, though a network, that can be associated with one or more users. The network can include but without limiting to a cloud. The one or more users can keep track of the system remotely through the one or more mobile computing devices. Also, the one or more users, through the one or more mobile computing device, can be used to control the door lock too.

a processing unit, having one or more processors, operatively configured with the one or more image sensing devices and the one or more proximity sensing devices, and the processing unit being configured to execute a set of instructions stored in a memory, which, on execution, caused the system to:
receive, from the one or more proximity sensing devices, a set of first signals pertaining to a presence of the user,
capture, with the one or more image capturing devices, one or more images of the user's face and correspondingly generate a set of second signals, and
determine, using one or more techniques, the face mask worn by the user based on the set of second signals.
2. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more techniques comprises any or combination of facial recognition technique, and object detection technique.
3. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the system is configured with a door lock.
4. The system as claimed in claim 3, wherein the system is configured to unlock the door lock when it is determined that the user is wearing the face mask.
5. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the system is configured with one or more indicating devices, and the system is configured to actuate the one or more indicating devices when it is determined that the user is not wearing the face mask.
6. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more indicating device comprises any or combination of visual indicators, and audio indicators.
7. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the one or more proximity sensing devices are microelectromechanical (MEMs) sensors.
8. A method for detecting a face mask of a user, the method comprising:
receiving, from one or more proximity sensing devices, a set of first signals pertaining to a presence of the user;
capturing, using one or more image capturing devices, one or more images of the user's face and correspondingly generate a set of second signals, and
determining, using one or more techniques, the face mask worn by the user based on the set of second signals.
