Abstract: System and method for digital menu cards in hospitality by using artificial intelligence technology is comprising of mobile application, backend server and any tabletop tablet with active internet connection. Hospitality management install digital menu mobile application on every tabletop tablet and link this tabletops tablets with backend server. These tablets are kept on every tables. When customer come to hotel or restaurant, then he/she can check menu on tablet which are placed on the table. Customer can select the food from menu and place the order. Hotel kitchen staff get information of order when customer select place the order. As every tablet is connected with backend server, at kitchen staff can know which order is come from which table.

2) The system claimed in claim 1, provides menu with its ingredients.
3) The system claimed in claim 1, provides images of food items.
4) The system claimed in claim 1, provides special/seasonal menu pop message on the screen of tablet.
, Description:Field of the invention:
The present invention is related generally to the hospitality sector, and more particularly to system and method for the digital menu cards for hospitality by using artificial intelligence technology.
Background of the invention:
A menu card is a represents detailed lists of food items that are served in particular restaurant or hotel. Well-designed menu cards ensure proper utilization of hospitality resources such as ex-food, labour, equipment and other facilities.
Menu cards gives complete idea about the types of cuisine that particular hotel or restaurant offers to its customer. Proper menu cards tell the customers the quality, ingredients of the food and origin of the food that they will get from the hotel or restaurant.
The basic purpose of menu card is to display the food items to the customers so that they can enjoy their food without any obstacles. Menu card actually helps to customer to know what is cooking in kitchen. Menu card helps hotel owner or restaurant owner and their manager to show the customer what they can buy and what they can cook. Now a days some menu cards are so nice and elegant which reflects the class level of the hotel or restaurant and the high quality of food customer can expect to be served.
A good menu design is key factor to marketing of hospitality. A good menu design must consider eatery’s personality, overall operations, profitability and should be in budget by keeping brand of hotel or restaurant in customer’s mind.
There are a few systems having menu features inventions, which are patented, are listed below.
US patent application US20140067562A1 by Leon Milton Gravesande discloses Digital Hospitality Menu. A specially designed restaurant menu featuring interactive digital video that showcases pictures of each menu item, along with convenient language selection. Design intent is to provide restaurant patrons with a unique new way in which to choose their meals while also helping them to be better informed about the items ordered.
US patent application US20110227853A1 by Kena Warûngû discloses Self-service digital table-top menu ordering device. The invention presented here is a Self-Service Digital Table-Top Menu Ordering Device is intended to be an easy to use comprehensive one-stop shop tool self-service table top tool. Existing menu service-based devices are single-standing kiosks and or hand held ordering devices which do not cater for special needs. Such services do not cater for the vision limited; the deaf and or persons with hand or limited finger mobility. This invention claims a state-of-the-art stand-alone wireless touch screen with accessories for special needs and with capable of hosting digital menus usable in dining places or related self-service for seated at-table clients. The device is capable of communicating with a primary computer system through a wireless Wi-Fi system and or wired network system. The embodiment herein is not limited to these needs or current technologies but carries the aspirations expressed to the best of its intentions.
US patent application US20130211814A1 by Patrick J. Derks, Atul kumar Desai discloses Analyzing restaurant menus in view of consumer preferences. A system and method are described for analyzing a menu. In one embodiment, a mobile device can obtain a digital version of a restaurant menu. A list of food criteria can be stored on the mobile device and tailored to a particular user of the mobile device. The restaurant menu can then be filtered using the stored list of food criteria to display a reduced version of the restaurant menu with items that conflict with the food criteria removed. In another embodiment, the digital version of the menu can be translated. For example, a destination language can be based on a language setting in the mobile device. A source language can either be entered by the user, determined automatically by comparing words in the menu itself against dictionaries in different languages, or by using geographic location of the restaurant.
Though the prior art patents disclose Digital Hospitality Menu, Self-service digital table-top menu ordering device and Analyzing restaurant menus in view of consumer preferences, they do not give any perfect solution for hotel staff scheduling system.
Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think like humans and mimic their actions. The term may also be applied to any machine that exhibits traits associated with a human mind such as learning and problem-solving.
Object of the invention:
The primary object of the present invention is to provide system and method for digital menu cards in hospitality by using artificial intelligence technology.
Another object of the present invention is to provide system and method for digital menu cards in hospitality which provides a customer digital menu card on tabletop tablets.
Another object of the present invention is to provides system and method for digital menu cards in hospitality which gives customer an idea about food and its ingredients.

The present invention discloses system and method for digital menu cards in hospitality by using artificial intelligence technology. The system and method for digital menu cards in hospitality is comprising of;
Digital menu card mobile Application
Backend Server – All data related to hospitality menu with ingredients and images is stored on server
Any tabletop tablet which has active internet connection – digital menu card mobile application is installed
Hospitality management install digital menu mobile application on every tabletop tablet and link this tabletops tablets with backend server. These tablets are kept on every tables. When customer come to hotel or restaurant, then he/she can check menu on tablet which are placed on the table. Customer can select the food from menu and place the order. Hotel kitchen staff get information of order when customer select place the order. As every tablet is connected with backend server, at kitchen staff can know which order is come from which table.

Detailed description of the invention:
The present invention discloses system and method for digital menu cards in hospitality by using artificial intelligence technology.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is the branch of computer sciences that emphasizes the development of intelligence machines in a such way that they can think and work like humans. For example, speech recognition, problem-solving, learning and planning.
The goals of AI research include reasoning, knowledge representation, planning, learning, natural language processing, perception and the ability to move an manipulate objects. General intelligence is among the field’s long-term goals.
The system and method for digital menu card in hospitality by using artificial intelligence is comprising of contents;
Digital menu card mobile Application
Backend Server – All data related to hospitality menu with ingredients and images is stored on server
Any tabletop tablet which has active internet connection – digital menu card mobile application is installed
The present invention discloses system and method for digital menu card for hospitality which includes the combination of both software and hardware.
Fig. 1 illustrates system and method for digital menu card in hospitality by using artificial intelligence technology is comprising of the steps are as;
Step 1) Hospitality authority install mobile application on every tabletop tablet which are connected with backend server
Step 2) Every tabletop tablet has unique id
Step 3) Customer can check menu on tabletop tablet and see the image of food and its ingredients
Step 4) Customer select food and place the order on tablet
Step 5) Food order is directly going to the kitchen of hotel/restaurant
Step 6) Kitchen staff complete order and served the food to the customer without wasting time
The embodiment of present invention includes backend server which stored all menu, customer order, table data. At backend server, system get order from particular tablet. Then server system sends this order to hotel/restaurant kitchen. Kitchen staff inform chef about this. And chef start to work on it. Without wasting the time chef can prepare food for order.
There are some advantages of the present invention such as;
Digital display of food menu makes communication easier between customer and hotel and restaurants. Digital displays attract customer. Hotel/restaurant clears what they want to state and show on menu card, also highlight menu which indirectly influences the choices of customer orders.
Any update in menu card can be done easily within minutes without wasting a time.
As digital menu card has extreme convenience with an added benefit of cost savings. As hospitality management don’t have to print new menus or promotional material regularly which results in a huge recurring cost.
Digital display enhances overall customer experience. It includes the combination of graphics and images which keep customer entertained and help them make an informed choice with the correct information displayed.
It has graphics and images in menu card which grabs customers attention. It is more eye pleasing than the regular paper menus. It has features like showing/popping day’s special menu.
It has facility for setting multiple menus for a single day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It can also show the videos of head chef making magical dishes, customers feedback on their experience with hotel/restaurant. It can also show highlights on seasonal dishes.
It helps in increasing sales of hotel/restaurant. Changing the menu items, prices and promoting the specials menus is done with zero cost, which eliminate several costs of hotels/restaurants.
Promotion and upsell of new menu are very easy with this system which results in achieving the goal of hotel/restaurant in time.
It is very convenient and easy to use. It is too simple to update. Sharing the menu in details results in food orders which indirectly increase profit margins of hotels/restaurants.
With lower cost it gives higher profit margins. Investing in digital menu cards results in cost reduction in printing out new paper menus every time for a minor changes or updates. This will help in boosting sales of hotel/restaurant reasonably which scale up profit margins.
It is very much flexible to update any single menu or even multiple menus.
It helps in maintaining consistency of brand of hotel/restaurant by updating and maintaining the menu UpToDate.
As customer place the order it directly goes to the hotel/restaurant kitchen, and chef work on it immediately which will help to reduce wait time for customer.
The present invention can be better understood with the help of examples.
Example 1:
Customer goes to hotel which have the digital menu card system. Customer take his/her seat and check the tabletop tablet for menu. Customer can see the menu with its ingredients and decide what to eat. By choosing the favourite food customer press the button place the order. The menu order will now show to the kitchen system where they can see which order have to complete for particular table. Chef start to work on it immediately and complete the order without wasting a time.

Example 2:
Customer goes to hotel which have the digital menu card system. Customer take his/her seat and check the tabletop tablet for menu. Customer can see the menu with its ingredients. Customer can see the pop message for special/seasonal menu with its ingredients and images of food. Also customer can check the feedback of other customer for that particular menu and decide whether to eat or not. By choosing the favourite food customer press the button place the order. The menu order will now show to the kitchen system where they can see which order have to complete for particular table. Chef start to work on it immediately and complete the order without wasting a time.
It should be kept in mind that the described embodiment(s) is only presented by way of example and should not be construed as limiting the inventive concept to any particular physical configuration.
The present invention is not limited to components, which is mentioned in the description. Based on the same concept, digital menu card system can be built. Those who are familiar in the art will understand that a number of variations may be made in the disclosed embodiments, all without departing from the scope of the invention, which is defined solely by the appended claims.
