Specification

TECHNICAL FIELD
The present disclosure relates generally to digital verification of assets; and more specifically, to a system for performing digital verification of assets. Furthermore, the present disclosure also relates to methods for performing digital verification of assets.
BACKGROUND
There are a number of corporates and companies which issue assets such as laptops, desktops, mobile phones, or other electronic gadgets to their employees for professional work and productive use. The employees or the users of such assets are entrusted with the responsibility of safekeeping and proper physical maintenance of such assets. However, in some instances, the assets are not maintained properly by the users and there can be a mis-use of such assets by the user. Therefore, a regular verification of assets is required to be done by the issuer or owner of the assets to ensure proper maintenance and safekeeping of the assets. Furthermore, a regular verification of assets is required to be done by the issuer or owner of the asset for obtaining and maintaining ISO certification or any other security compliance. Furthermore, a regular verification of assets is required to be done by the issuer or owner of the asset for audit purposes.
In the existing solutions, the issuer or owner of the assets conducts a physical verification of the assets by inspecting the assets. Such a process is in-efficient and time consuming. Moreover, such a process cannot be implemented for remote users of the assets. The remote user is required to travel back to asset issuer on regular intervals for such verification which is highly in-efficient in terms of time and costs. Moreover, during the present time of pandemic, it is unsafe for the remote user to travel.
Therefore, there exists a need for a system and method to do reliable verification of the possession and location of an asset of the remote user.
