, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for distance learning by using virtual reality technology. In particular, it is related to learning of student not physically present into the college or school.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Education is the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university. But in some condition, it is not possible for student to go to college or university for education. Then the concept of distance learning was coming in the educational filed.
Distance education or distance learning is the education of students who may not always be physically present at a school. Traditionally, this usually involved correspondence courses wherein the student corresponded with the school via post. Today, it involves online education.
Distance learning is needed to satisfy the varied needs of varied students. Distance education is especially needed for those who want to learn while learning. Distance learning provides opportunities to such people to improve their qualifications.
Education is one of the most important things that a person must learn. Their entire future or career is dependent on their education and it also improves the way you interact with rest of the people. Education or learning is very beneficial to be more productive in this contemporary world.
Currently, there is the method of distance learning is online method. With the help of internet, it becomes easier to pursue the distance learning. But it is also limited edition. On the website, student can get theoretical part which and student has to read and have to understand.
As technology become more and more advanced, it tries to give solutions to each and every problem. The present invention discloses the system and method for distance learning by using virtual reality technology.
The invention application will take student into the virtual class room where he/she become part of that virtual classroom.
Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds.
Virtual reality is a simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world. Applications of virtual reality can include entertainment and educational purposes.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is, the system and method for distance learning by using virtual reality technology.
Another object of the invention is, with the help of photos and videos of college or universities classroom it creates the virtual classroom of universities or college or school.
Another object of the invention is, student/user become part of the virtual classroom.
Other object of the invention is, it helps student learning in the real time environment.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for distance learning by using virtual reality technology. The web application for distance learning is created. Student/user open the invention web site through high definition smart phone. As student/user enter into website, virtual simulation video of university or college or school classroom is seen to user/student. Student/user would virtually present in the classroom. And student would learn from the classroom itself. This gives an overall idea of classroom of university or college or school.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig 1 shows flowchart of the system and method for this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for distance learning by using virtual reality technology.
The present invention system and method for distance learning is comprising of components such as;
Any high definition smart phone
The web application for distance learning using virtual reality technology
Fig 1 illustrate the present invention system, which is comprising of;
Step 1) The high definition smart phone having active internet connection
Step 2) The user/student opens the web application of distance learning
Step 3) As website opens, application stimulates the virtual scene for classroom of university or college or school
Step 4) User/student feels he/she is become part of that virtual class
Step 5) User/student can real time learning from virtual class room
This is general overview of system. System is not bounded to this only.
Here by using this invention, the student/user would pursue distance learning virtually to know better the educational subject.
Virtual campus can be described as online 3D campus where users/student can navigate (virtually) in a classroom of university or school or college through 3D technology like in real life. It is quite similar to video games.
Here in this invention application, as application starts, it creates virtual scene of classroom of university or college or school. So, user/student feel that he/she is the part of that virtual class, and can learn in real time.
Virtual reality technology has the potential to greatly enhance collaboration between teachers and students in distance learning teaching. Research shows that virtual and augmented reality simulations increase student motivation and improve collaboration and knowledge construction.
There are some advantages of present invention such as;
Easy Access - There are people, children mostly, who face limitations in accessing education because of various reasons, from disability to distance. VR eliminates those boundaries; It enables an easy start with any lesson. Everything is already set and easy to be moved if necessary. It is a rock-solid fact that teachers are in a constant search for better ways to educate children, including the children with special needs.
Gamification - The best learning results are achieved when you are involved, and when you get a chance to try something, fail and then do it right. Nothing beats personal experience, and virtual reality supports that. Just imagine nowadays when you say to children – Open your book, how unhappy they must be. It’s a passive action. After all, they are living in a world of technology and instant-and-live moments. However, if you tell them to open their books and to read out loud to see who reads faster, they will take it completely differently. Introducing gamification and competition is what can make them eager to learn. Offering an element of competition and gaming makes education more attractive. Moreover, VR enables the teacher to ‘gamify’ even the simplest lessons, like ‘open the tab’ or ‘close the door’ to a more complex multiplayer experience. Even more so, gamification can be easily logically incorporated into the topic of the lesson.
Immediate engagement - Children are glued to their smartphones or other smart devices most of the time, making it challenging to draw their attention to anything that doesn’t include moving pictures or easy-on-the-eye content. But VR education can compete with these expectations. Immediate engagement with VR means no distractions. The scenery is so vivid, attractive and engages participation so that every student becomes involved 100%.
Beats Complexity - VR allows students to experiment with things they don’t have access to at school. Also, VR can simulate nearly impossible and dangerous events and scenarios that cannot be experienced in a normal environment like, car crash, first aid, driving, car mechanics and much more in a completely safe environment.
Virtual reality simulates experience to student/user in such a way that he/she can see virtual world which is actual real in nature. Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds.
Take an example of the invention, suppose student from the pune want to pursue the course from banglore college. Now it is really hectic and expensive to go to there and visit each and every time of class. But with the help of this invention, student just have to open the web invention application. As web application started, student can experience virtual classroom of that particular college.
