Specification

[0001] The invention generally relates to services offered by e-commerce platform. More particularly, it relates to ensuring the interests of buyers and sellers over the e-commerce platform by offering automated dispute settlement services.
BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0002] E-commerce services have offered a lot of convenience to users in trading goods and services. In particular, the E-commerce services have offered a much needed platform for strengthening trade business between buyers and sellers. Further, the platform not only eased entrepreneurs in setting-up their own businesses, but has also lifted buyers and sellers from their local market to the global market. This helped in raising living standards and economy, globally.
[0003] However, E-commerce services have also brought along many technical challenges in fully leveraging its actual potential. First and foremost challenge is to deal with the complexities in setting-up and maintenance of such global platform. Second challenge is to provide security to buyers, sellers, and their e-commerce transactions. Third challenge is to build trust among buyers and sellers. Fourth challenge is to protect interest of both buyers and sellers in the e-commerce platform.
[0004] Recently, the E-commerce services have undergone various improvements in interest of both buyers and sellers. For example, buyers are now able to generate feed-backs regarding products and services delivered, and even against the sellers. This has helped other buyers in getting a fair idea about a seller or product/service offered by the seller, before even initiating a purchase. Moreover, sellers are now providing twenty four hours customer care services for building, maintaining, and re-instating trust of their customers in their products or services.
[0005] Although, a lot has been improved recently with the E-commerce service platforms, there are still many challenges left to be worked upon. For example, confidentiality of customer or buyer data is not protected always. There aren’t sufficient dispute settlement provisions, where interest of both buyers and sellers can be maintained. Neither there is any freedom to sellers/vendors in case they want to discontinue with a customer/ buyer, nor there is any criteria ensuring the payments for work or services already delivered. The buyers and sellers generally only communicate before or after completion of business operation. There is no such system in art allowing a continuous communication and liasioning among two sides during the tenure of service.

The server 104 is further connected with the vendor devices 108a-m (hereinafter referred to as vendor devices 108) via the network 106b. The reference numerals ‘n’ and ‘m’ may represent any arbitrary number. In an embodiment, the server 104 provides a platform for the clients (buyers) and the vendors (sellers) to communicate with each other and to execute business transactions. The clients (also referred to as buyers) may be individuals or organizations looking for a particular service or product. Similarly, the vendors (sellers) may be individuals or organizations looking to offer a particular service or product.
[00037] The client devices 102 and the vendor devices 108 may be any computing devices that are capable of communicating over the network 106a-b. The network 106a-b may comprise any network such as LAN, MAN, WAN, internet, and intranet. Examples of the client devices 102 and the vendor devices 108 may include, but is not restricted to, personal computers, desktop computers, laptops, Smart-phones, tablets, PDA, etc. Examples of the server 104 may comprise a commercial web server, a supercomputer, a desktop computer, etc.
[00038] In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the server 104 is used for introducing an e-commerce platform which is configured to perform various functions along with delivering products/services to clients/buyers. The platform serves as a hub where clients/buyers and vendors/sellers may interact with each other for performing business operations or transactions. The platform is fully automated and is not dependent on human intervention for supporting the business operations and communications between the clients and the vendors. The platform uses artificial intelligence for automating various operation modules which are discussed further in conjunction with Figs 2-5 of the present invention.
[00039] For example, at time of assignment of a contract, a client will make first payment to an e-commerce hub and simultaneously vendor and client information will be shared to each other by the e-commerce hub. Thereafter, at completion of first milestone, the vendor will interact with the client to convince and request the client to pay the e-commerce hub fees of completing the first milestone. At this time, the vendor will submit the client documents to the e-commerce hub which will remain in custody of the e-commerce hub. Thereafter, the e-commerce hub will ask for feedback from the client. At time of client positive feedback for the first milestone, which indicates that client agreed to proceed with second milestone with the same vendor, the client will deposit the second milestone payment in advance to the the e-commerce hub. After receiving payment of the second milestone, the e-commerce hub will pay the vendor payment for the first completed milestone. However, at time of negative feedback given by the client, the the e-commerce hub will provide an option to the client to choose any other vendor or in-house team of the the e-commerce hub. The e-commerce hub will restore the client service with newly selected vendor and no payment will be made to the previous vendor for working in the first milestone.
[00040] At completion of second milestone by the vendor, the vendor will request for payment to the e-commerce hub with client documents and then the e-commerce hub will ask for client feedback. After client’s positive feedback, the client will make payment of third milestone to the e-commerce hub and the e-commerce hub will make payment of second milestone to the vendor. At time of client’s negative feedback for the vendor, the client’s service will be restored with in-house team of the e-commerce hub and no payment will be made to the vendor for the work done in second milestone. The e-commerce hub will be replaced as assigned vendor for the work thereon. In case of any dispute, the client will be given ten minutes time to chat with an industry expert for free which will satisfy client’s queries.
[00041] At completion of third milestone by vendor, the vendor will request for payment to the e-commerce hub with client documents and then the e-commerce hub will ask for client feedback. After client’s positive feedback, the client will make payment of fourth milestone to the e-commerce hub and the e-commerce hub will make payment of third milestone to the vendor. At time of client’s negative feedback, client’s service will be restored with in-house team of the e-commerce hub and no payment will be made to the vendor for the third milestone. At this time of completion of third milestone, even with positive feedback given by the client to the vendor, the vendor can discontinue the work and the e-commerce hub will restore the client’s service via its in-house team. The e-commerce hub will assign Industry expert for the specific topic to the case for free for at least one day so that the vendor replacement can be done smoothly from the existing vendor to the e-commerce hub’s in-house team. The the e-commerce hub can also offer a ten minute chat session to the vendor if the vendor needs some assistance or have some queries.
[00042] At completion of fourth and final milestone by the vendor, the vendor will request for payment to the e-commerce hub with client documents and then the e-commerce hub will ask for client feedback. After client’s positive feedback the e-commerce hub will make payment of the fourth milestone to the vendor. At time of client’s negative feedback for the vendor or for the work done by the vendor in the fourth milestone, client’s service will be restored with in-house team of the e-commerce hub and no payment will be made to the vendor for the fourth milestone. In case of any dispute, the client or vendor will be given ten minutes time to chat with an industry expert for free to satisfy doubts and queries.
[00043] FIG. 2 illustrates a block diagram of a server 200 (such as the server 104, as illustrated in FIG. 1 of the present invention) that is configured for facilitating transactions between buyers and sellers. The server 200 may be any computing device, such as, but is not restricted to a, personal computer, laptop, smart-phone, tablet, desktop computer, super computer, or any commercial computing server. The server 200 may be connected with Internet for communicating with remote devices of buyers and sellers. The term buyers refers to all customers (individuals as well as organizations) who are in need of a product or service and the term sellers refers to all business entities (individuals as well as organizations) who are interested in providing their services or in selling their products.
[00044] Further, the server 200 may be configured for facilitating transactions between buyer(s) and seller(s). In an embodiment, the server 200 functions as a host platform between the buyer and the seller for supporting various functions. In another embodiment, the server 200 may function as an interface between the buyer and the seller. Furthermore, in an embodiment, the server may facilitate services for the buyers via one or more sellers based upon type of services required by the buyer. In addition, the server 200 may provide a communication platform between a buyer and a seller.
[00045] As illustrated in the FIG. 2, the server 200 comprises a processor 202 and a non-transitory storage medium 204 (hereinafter, referred to as the “memory 204”) embodied with various modules. Specifically, the memory 204 comprises a job creation module 206, job assignment module 208, quality control module 210, job administration module 212, and a dispute settlement module 214. In an embodiment, the processor 202 may comprise more than one processor. The modules stored in the memory 204, when executed by the processor 202, causes the server 200 to perform various actions that are defined by the modules.
[00046] In an embodiment, each module is a set of one or more routines, or one or more sub-routines. The processor 202 coupled to the memory 204, executes the one or more routines or the one or more sub-routines in order to perform certain operations. Further, the memory 204 may consist of any volatile or non-volatile memory, a random access memory (RAM) or a read only memory (ROM). Various modules included in the memory 204 perform certain operations during for facilitating communications and transactions between a buyer and a seller.
[00047] The job creation module 206 may comprise instructions for creating a job for one or more sellers. The details of the job may be inputted by a buyer. The job creation module 206 may therefore use the inputted information to create a job notice for the one or more sellers. The sellers may therefore be able to read, listen, or see the job details for determining whether or not the job is relevant to their interest. In an embodiment, the job creation module 206 comprises a set of instructions which when executed by the processor 202, cause the server 200 to automatically create the job based on the details inputted by the buyer.
[00048] For example, a buyer starts with a registration process when he/she logs into an e-commerce website hosted by the server 200. The buyer fills a registration form for registering as a buyer into the website. The registration form may include various personal and business details related to the buyer. The personal details may comprise, but are not restricted to, name, contact, address, etc. The website may prompt the buyer, on successful registration, to provide details of a job, task, product, or service, that the buyer is interested in. When the website receives the details provided by the buyer, the website automatically creates a job/ task that is visible to all the sellers pre-registered with the website. In an embodiment, the website may also notify the sellers via emails or messages corresponding to the newly added job.
[00049] In an embodiment, the job creation module 206 may also be configured to facilitate registration of the buyers and the sellers. The registration details filled by the buyers and sellers may be divided into private and public services, wherein the public services may be accessible by all other buyers and sellers and the private services may note be accessible publicly. Similarly, the job created by the job creation module 206 may also comprise the public and private services, wherein public details of a job may be visible to all the pre-registered sellers and the private details may be visible to only one or more selected sellers.
[00050] The one or more selected sellers may be selected by the buyer itself or may be automatically selected by the server 200 based on relevancy of the sellers in correspondence to the job. The relevancy of the sellers may be determined based on the domain of services or products offered by the sellers and content/ context of the job posted by the buyers. Further, the relevancy of the sellers may be determined based on transaction history of sellers. In an embodiment, the sellers may be registered in one or more service categories. The service categories may be defined for grouping sellers based on similarity of their products or services. Therefore, the job creation module 206 may display the job details to all the pre-registered sellers in a relevant service category only.
[00051] Further, the job assignment module 208 comprises a set of sub-routines which when executed by the processor 202, causes the server 200 to automatically assign the job created by the job creation module 206 to one or more sellers. The job may comprise a request for a product, a service, or a task. The one or more sellers may be selected based on request of the buyer. The buyer may define if the job is sufficient for one seller or if more than one sellers are required for the job. The buyer may also select a particular seller for the job or may request the server 200 to automatically determine or select top seller for the job.
[00052] In an embodiment, if the job assignment module 208 selected more than one seller as the most suitable sellers for the job, then the job assignment module 208 may share the job details with the selected sellers and may request the sellers to bid for the job or to provide their best quotation for the job. The bidding and quotations may be provided to the buyer for selection or the buyer may request the server 200 to automatically select a best bid or quote. The server 200 may be pre-configured to select a best quote based on budget, bid price, seller reputation, seller ratings, seller history, seller expertise, seller availability, and like.
[00053] In an embodiment, the buyer may access profiles of the sellers (who provided quotes) for gaining more knowledge about the sellers. Certain confidential information of the sellers may not be accessible to the buyer as the buyer has yet not assigned the job to the seller. The confidential information may include for example, contact information, website, name of firm etc. However, in case such information is required by the buyer, the same can be arranged with permission of the sellers or after authorization from an authorized personnel of the e-commerce service provider implementing the e-commerce platform using the server 200.
[00054] In another embodiment, the job assignment module 208, selects one seller from one or more sellers on the basis of quote pricing. Once the job assignment module 208 selected a seller, from one or more sellers, the full details of the buyer and the seller are exchanged with each other. In yet another embodiment, the buyer only awards a contract value after selection of the seller. The award value may be a maximum budget selected by the buyer. Further, in an embodiment, as soon as a seller is approved by the buyer, the e-commerce platform may provide a communication interface to the buyer and the seller for communicating with each other.
[00055] Further, after selection of one or more sellers, the seller may start the job under a given deadline. Depending upon the type of the job, the seller may keep updating status of completion to the buyer via the e-commerce platform hosted by the server 200. In an embodiment, the percentage of completion may be time based and can be calculated based on time spent on the job in view of a given deadline. In another embodiment, the status of the job may be divided into a plurality of milestones. The milestones may be event based, time based, or content based. Therefore, at completion of one milestone, the seller may request the e-commerce platform to release a partial payment according the the milestone. In an embodiment, the partial payment may be determined by the quality control module 210 and released by job administration module 212. Also, the partial payment may be determined based on number of milestones in view of total budget of the job. The partial payment may be determined based on agreements between buyers and sellers. The partial payments may also be determined by the e-commerce platform itself or may be based on an algorithm.
[00056] For example, at completion of 25% of a job, a seller may request for a partial payment to the e-commerce platform. The e-commerce platform may then request the buyer to review the 25% work done by the seller. If the buyer approves the 25% work of the seller then the e-commerce platform may release 25% payment of the seller. In another example, the seller may demand for 25% of payment in advance without even initiating the job. Similarly, if the buyer approves the advance payment then the 25% of the payment will be released to the seller by the e-commerce platform. In an embodiment, the buyer may pay full or partial payment in advance to the e-commerce platform for enabling the e-commerce platform to securely pay the same to the seller. In another embodiment, the e-commerce platform may pay the seller in advance and may as the buyer to pay only after completion of the job.
[00057] The quality control module 210, as referred to in the FIG. 2, comprises a set of instructions which when executed by the processor 202, causes the server 200 to automatically prompt the buyer to provide a feedback for the selected one or more sellers. In an embodiment, the quality control module 210 may prompt the buyer for feedback at completion of every individual milestone. The transaction process between the buyer and the seller is accomplished in plurality of stages or milestones.
[00058] In an embodiment, the transaction process between the buyer and the seller is accomplished in four steps or milestones. At the end of each milestone, the seller requests for payment of the services provided to the buyer. Each time the buyer requests for the payment, the quality control module 210, comes to activation. At the end of each milestone, the quality control module 210, prompts the buyer to provide feedback for services delivered by the seller. It will be appreciated by a person skilled in the art that the selection of four steps or four milestones is purely for the purpose of explanation and is not meant for limiting the scope of the invention disclosure.
[00059] Moreover, the quality control module 210 prompts the buyer to provide feedback for the seller a plurality of times before the completion of job. In an embodiment, the quality control module 210, prompts the buyer for feedback at end of each milestone. The buyer may provide a negative or a positive feedback for the seller at end of each milestone depending upon the satisfaction level of the buyer. Depending on the positive or negative feedback, the quality control module 210 either requests the job administration module 212 to release the partial payment to the seller or raises a flag for the dispute settlement module 214.
[00060] The job administration module 212 comprises a set of instructions which when executed by the processor 202 causes the server 200 to automatically release a pre-determined partial payment (determined by the quality control module 210) to the seller based on feedback from the buyer. The job administration module 212 comes into activation after the quality control module 210 generates feedback from the buyer. The buyer may provide a negative or positive feedback for the seller at end of a milestone.
[00061] In an embodiment, if a buyer provides positive feedback for a seller at end of a milestone, the job administration module 212 pays the seller for services delivered during the tenure of milestone. The seller receives a partial payment for services delivered at the end of milestone. The job administration module 212 requests the buyer to pay in advance for the next milestone after paying the seller for previous milestone. The buyer pays 25 percent of the total award value at start of each milestone. This initiates the next milestone.
[00062] Further, in another embodiment of the invention, if a buyer is not satisfied with the services provided by the seller during the term of a milestone, he/she may provide a negative feedback. The job administration module 212 then will not release any payment to the seller for previous tenure of the milestone due to the negative feedback. Thereby, the job administration module 212, keeps control of the payments received from the buyer and payments delivered to the seller through out the tenure of the job/service. Also, the job administration module may receive partial payments from the buyer a plurality of times at start of each milestone. The administration module 212 may also deliver the partial payments to the seller a plurality of times at end of each milestone, before completion of the job.
[00063] In an aspect of the invention, the sellers are free to resign from the job/services assigned to them at any time. The sellers may also resign from the duties at end of any milestone. In case, a seller wants to surrender, then the seller submits confidential documents related to the job and the agreement. The job administration module 212 will be triggered to pay the final settlement amount for the already provided services to the seller. In an embodiment, the final settlement payment may only be released by the administration module 212 if the seller has completed a threshold percentage of the job. The threshold percentage may be pre-defined and can be defined by the buyer. In another embodiment, the administration module 212 releases the partial payment to the seller only if the seller has completed a threshold number of milestones. The threshold number of milestones may also be a pre-determined number and may be defined by the buyer.
[00064] The dispute settlement module 214, as illustrated in the FIG. 2, plays an important aspect of the invention. The dispute settlement module 214 comprises a set of instructions which when executed by the processor 202 causes the server 200 to automatically relieve one or more sellers from their duties and assigns a new seller for the job. The dispute settlement module 214 is triggered if either the buyer or the seller raises a flag of dissatisfaction during the tenure of the job. For example, if a buyer provides negative feedback for a seller, the dispute settlement module 214 automatically relieves the seller from its duties and assigns a new seller for the job. The dispute settlement module 214 restores the buyer even after negative feedback by assigning a new seller or in-house team for the job.
[00065] In an embodiment, if seller is not satisfied in delivering services to the buyer, the seller is allowed to resign from the assigned job. The dispute settlement module 214 frees the seller if the seller wishes to discontinue delivering services to the buyer. The dispute settlement module 214 may then trigger the job creation module 206 for assigns a new seller or in-house team to the buyer. The in-house team refers to a team owned by e-commerce service provider who implemented the server 200 for providing the platform for the buyers and sellers.
[00066] Therefore, the dispute settlement module 214 is triggered every time a dispute is created by either the seller or the buyer. The dispute settlement module 214 may be configured for initiating proper actions to settle the disputes at both ends. In case the buyer is not satisfied, the settlement module 214 restores the buyer’s trust by assigning a new seller or in-house team to provide services to the buyer.
[00067] FIG. 3 illustrates a method of facilitating buyers and sellers in business transactions. The method may use an e-commerce platform for facilitating communications and transactions between the buyers and the sellers. At step 302 of the method, a pre-registered buyer fills various details required to create a job profile. The job profile may comprise details related to a product, service, or task to be completed by a seller. The job profile may also specify certain other conditions, such as, but not restricted to, budget, deadline, venue, product features, delivery address, etc.
[00068] At step 304, various details filled by the buyer are compiled and a job is created. The job may represents a product, task, or service requested by the buyer. After creation of the job, the job description may be displayed on the e-commerce platform to all sellers or selected one or more sellers in a particular category. The job description, initially, may only comprise the basic description of the job to be completed and may not comprise confidential information for identifying the buyer. This may be necessary for protecting identity of the buyer from unwanted sellers. The sellers may use the job description to identify whether or not they are interested in executing the job. Interested sellers may provide a bid or a quotation to the e-commerce platform. The e-commerce platform may or may not share the bids to the buyer.
[00069] At step 306, the job is assigned to a seller based on either profile of the seller or based on a bid of the seller. The job may also be assigned to more than one sellers depending upon job requirements and budget of the buyer. In an embodiment, the buyer may self-analyze the bids and quotations received from the various sellers for determining at least one seller who meets best to the requirements of the buyer. If the buyer is willing to self-select the seller, the buyer may refer the seller to the e-commerce web server and the seller will be automatically assigned the job.
[00070] At step 308, the e-commerce website monitors the progress made by the seller in executing the defined job. The job tenure may be divided into multiple milestones. Payment for the job may also be released partially in relation to individual milestone completion. For explanation purpose, a job may be divided in four milestones. The first milestone may represent an interaction stage between the buyer and the selected seller. The selected seller from one or more sellers may display a confidential information on the e-commerce platform. The confidential information displayed by selected seller may be accessible to the concerned buyer only. The buyer/client may also share certain confidential information to the selected seller from one or more sellers through the e-commerce platform. Both the buyer and the selected seller may share the required information to each other through the e-commerce platform.
[00071] At step 310, the buyer is prompted to provide a feedback for the seller. This may be performed after completion of a milestone by the seller. The feedback is analyzed to determine whether the buyer is satisfied with the seller or not. In case of positive feedback from the buyer the method flow proceeds to step 312, otherwise, if negative feedback from the buyer is received, then the method flow proceeds to step 314 and then to step 316. In an embodiment, at step 310, the buyer is prompted for feedback a plurality of times before the final completion of job, based on number of milestones in the job
[00072] At the step 312, it is determined whether the job is completed or if the job is pending. In case if the job is not completed then the method flow may proceed to step 318 and if the job is completed then the method flow may proceed to the final step 320. At step 314, wherein the buyer is determined to be not satisfied with the seller, the seller may be paid all the dues based on the percentage of work completed or based on the number of milestones achieved as a full and final settlement for the services provided till date. Thereafter, at step 316, a new seller will be identified and assigned for the job to carry out the pending work of the job. The method may therefore start again from the step 308.
[00073] Further, the functioning at the steps 314 and 316 may vary based on milestones. For example, if a task is divided in four milestones, then after completion of first milestone, if a client is found to be not satisfied with service of a vendor then the client may be provided an option to select a new vendor to continue. The new vendor may also be an in-house team. The old vendor will not be paid as the work was found to be not satisfactory. Further, after completion of second milestone, if the client is found to be not satisfied with service of the vendor then the client may be offered to select in-house team for switching over the work. The vendor will not be paid for the second milestone.
[00074] Similarly, at completion of third milestone, if the client is found to be not satisfied with service of the vendor then the client may be offered to select in-house team for switching over the work. The vendor will not be paid for the third milestone. Also, at completion of third milestone, the vendor will also have the option to discontinue from the work. The vendor may also be provided with an offer to select an industry expert for seeking guidance via a ten minute chat session. Moreover, at completion of fourth milestone, if the client is found to be not satisfied with service of the vendor then the client may be offered to select in-house team for switching over the work. The vendor will not be paid for the fourth milestone.
[00075] At step 318, wherein the job is pending and the buyer is satisfied with the job, the seller will be paid the a partial amount based on the percentage of completion of the job or based on the number of milestones achieved. Thereafter, the method flow may start again from the step 308. At step 320, wherein the job is completed and the buyer is satisfied with the job, the seller will be paid the full and final pending partial amount in relation to the total amount and the amount already paid partially on completion of milestones.
[00076] FIG. 4 (FIG. 4a, 4b, and 4c) illustrates a process flow between a client, vendor, and an e-commerce hub, wherein the e-commerce hub is used for facilitating communication and transactions between the client and the vendor. The e-commerce platform serves as a medium for interaction between the client(s) and vendors(s). A client 402 starts with a registration process to obtain the services from an e-commerce website 404. During the registration process, the client 402 fills a first form for registration. The first form includes some basic details for example, name, address, contact information, e-mail address, shipping address, etc. The first form also includes other details leading to areas of interest, any specific condition/requirement, etc. This leads to completion of registration form.
[00077] Once the registration process is completed, the client 402 further fills a second form, referred to herein as a lead form. The second form is specifically related to the required service, which the client 402 intends to buy. The client fills all details in the second form, which may include specific features, terms, conditions, agreements, maximum budget, maximum time by which the client wants the services to be delivered, etc. The client 402 also fills some specific information particularly related to the required service, asked in the second form which is displayed only to the chosen vendor later on (further described in detail below). The client 402 submits the second form which is displayed to multiple vendors on the e-commerce hub 404.
[00078] The e-commerce hub 404 has various vendors 406 listed into multiple categories. The categorization of vendors 406 is done on the basis their service type. During the process of listing various vendors into multiple categories, each vendor 406 specifies his/her interest in providing a particular service. Depending upon the interests and specifications by vendors 406, a database is created and displayed on the e-commerce hub 404. The second form displayed on the hub 404 shows offer/service required by the client 402 along with various other specifications. The second form is sent to various vendors listed in a particular category in the database depending upon the service asked by the client 402. The e-commerce hub 404 shortlists various vendors to offer a service with respect to service category and location.
[00079] The second form is sent to a maximum of five vendors. Each of the vendors specifies bids (quotes) on the service asked by client 402. A profile is created and displayed on the e-commerce hub 404 listing quotes for the required service by multiple vendors 406 (maximum of 5). The profile contains only certain information shown by the vendors 406 and does not include any confidential details for example, contact information, terms and conditions etc. The client 402 performs the selection of a vendor 406 from multiple vendors listed within the profile. After the selection of vendor 406, the client 402 awards the contract, triggering start of a first milestone. Thereafter, the client 402 initiates first milestone payment to the e-commerce hub 404. In an embodiment, the process may be divided in four milestones and for each milestone 25 percent payment of the total award value may be submitted by the client 402.
[00080] In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, at the beginning of the first milestone, the e-commerce hub 404 shares confidential information of the client 402 to the service vendor 406 (chosen by the client)and shares confidential information of the service vendor 406 to the client 402. The confidential information may include various policies, terms and conditions, contact information, name of the firm, website, agreements etc. shared by both parties to each other. After sharing the information of the client 402 and vendor 406 with each other, the e-commerce may allow them to interact with each other for discussing and planning the project parameters.
[00081] After completion of first milestone, the vendor 406 may notify the e-commerce hub 404 corresponding to the milestone completion. Thereafter, the vendor 406 may share the client documents with the e-commerce hub 404 with the details of the work completed along with other document formalities. The documents may be kept by the e-commerce hub 404 in a safe custody. The vendor 406 may also request for payment. The vendor 406 may therefore be allowed to interact with the client 402 for convincing the client 402 for payment of the work completed in first milestone. The vendor 406 may brief all the work done and may show proof of quality or service. After the interaction between the client 402 and the vendor 406, the e-commerce hub 404 may prompt the client 402 to provide a feedback for the vendor 406. The client 402 may or may not have liked the work of the vendor 406 in the first milestone. The e-commerce hub 404 may also offer liasioning session to the client 402 and may even facilitate the vendor 406 to communicate again with the client 402 for settlements.
[00082] Thereafter, if the client 402 provides a positive feedback and opts to continue with the same vendor 406 then the client 402 may notify the e-commerce hub 404 and may initiate a payment for the second milestone (that is yet to start) to the e-commerce hub 404. The number of milestones and payment for each milestone may be pre-negotiated by the client 402 with the e-commerce hub 404 and the vendor 406. After, receiving the payment of the second milestone, the e-commerce hub 404 may pay the vendor 406 for the payment of first milestone, as the client 402 is satisfied with the work done by the vendor 406 in the first milestone.
[00083] However, if the client 402 provides a negative feedback and/or opts not to continue with the same vendor 406 then the e-commerce hub 404 may offer the client 402 to select another vendor instead of the vendor 406. In an embodiment, the e-commerce hub 404 may also offer an in-house team employed by the e-commerce hub 404 itself. The client 402 may have the option to select the in-house team of the e-commerce hub 404 or to select other vendors registered with the e-commerce hub 404. The e-commerce hub 404 may also facilitate the client 402 in identifying suitable vendors based on their area of expertise, their availability, their bidding, etc. As soon as the client 402 selects a vendor, the e-commerce hub 404 may restore the project with the selected vendor. The e-commerce hub may not compensate the vendor 406 for the work done in the first milestone as the client 402 is not happy with the work. The first milestone may be re-started by the newly selected vendor, if need be.
[00084] At completion of the second milestone (as illustrated in Fig. 4B), the vendor 406 may notify the e-commerce hub 404 corresponding to the second milestone completion. Thereafter, the vendor 406 may share the client documents with the e-commerce hub 404 with the details of the work completed along with other document formalities. The vendor 406 may also request for payment. The vendor 406 may then be allowed to interact with the client 402 for convincing the client 402 for providing payment of the work completed in second milestone. The vendor 406 may brief all the work done and may show proof of quality or service. After the interaction between the client 402 and the vendor 406, the e-commerce hub 404 may prompt the client 402 to provide a feedback for the vendor 406. The client 402 may or may not have liked the work of the vendor 406. The e-commerce hub 404 may offer liasioning session to the client 402 and may even facilitate the vendor 406 to communicate again with the client 402 for settlements.
[00085] If the client 402 provides a positive feedback and opts to continue with the same vendor 406 then the client 402 may notify the e-commerce hub 404 and may initiate a payment for the third milestone (that is yet to start) to the e-commerce hub 404. After, receiving the payment of the third milestone, the e-commerce hub 404 may pay the vendor 406 for the payment of second milestone, as the client 402 is satisfied with the work done by the vendor 406 in the second milestone.
[00086] However, if the client 402 provides a negative feedback and/or opts not to continue with the same vendor 406 then the e-commerce hub 404 may offer the client 402 to restore the service using in-house team of the e-commerce hub 404. As soon as the client 402 approves the in-house team of the e-commerce hub 404 as the new vendor, the e-commerce hub 404 may automatically restore the project. The e-commerce hub 404 already has all the documents corresponding to the work completed by the vendor 406 and may use the documents to continue providing services to the client 402. The e-commerce hub may not compensate the vendor 406 for the work done in the second milestone as the client 402 is not happy with the work. In case of any dispute, the client 402 may be given ten minutes of time to chat with an expert for free to satisfy queries and doubts of the client 402.
[00087] At completion of the third milestone (as illustrated in Fig. 4B), the vendor 406 may notify the e-commerce hub 404 corresponding to the third milestone completion. Thereafter, the vendor 406 may share the client documents with the e-commerce hub 404 with the details of the work completed along with other document formalities. The vendor 406 may also request for payment. The vendor 406 may then be allowed to interact with the client 402 for convincing the client 402 for providing payment of the work completed in third milestone.
[00088] If the client 402 provides a positive feedback and opts to continue with the same vendor 406 then the client 402 may notify the e-commerce hub 404 and may initiate a payment for the fourth milestone (that is yet to start) to the e-commerce hub 404. After, receiving the payment of the fourth milestone, the e-commerce hub 404 may pay the vendor 406 for the payment of third milestone, as the client 402 is satisfied with the work done by the vendor 406 in the third milestone.
[00089] However, if the client 402 provides a negative feedback and/or opts not to continue with the same vendor 406 then the e-commerce hub 404 may offer the client 402 to restore the service using in-house team of the e-commerce hub 404. As soon as the client 402 selects the in-house team of the e-commerce hub 404 as the new vendor, the e-commerce hub 404 may automatically restore the project. The e-commerce hub 404 already has all the documents corresponding to the work completed by the vendor 406 and may use the documents to continue providing services to the client 402. The e-commerce hub may not compensate the vendor 406 for the work done in the third milestone as the client 402 is not happy with the work. In case of any dispute, the client 402 may be given ten minutes of time to chat with an expert for free to satisfy queries and doubts of the client 402.
[00090] Additionally, at completion of the third milestone, the e-commerce hub 404 may facilitate the vendor 406 to discontinue the project or work for the client 402, if the vendor 406 opted not to continue working. In this case, the e-commerce hub 404 may automatically relieve the vendor 406 from duties, may notify the client 402, and may automatically restore the services for the client 402 using the in-house team. The e-commerce hub 404 may assign an industry expert for the specific project for free for a day or more. The industry expert may be assigned to ensure smooth replacement of the vendor 406.
[00091] In an embodiment, if the vendor 406 is not able to execute the project due to certain technical difficulties, the industry expert may be assigned for the same to the vendor 406. The vendor 406 may be allowed a session of ten or more minutes to satisfy queries and doubts of the vendor. This facility may prevent the vendor from discontinuing working for the client 402.
[00092] At completion of the fourth milestone (as illustrated in Fig. 4C), the vendor 406 may notify the e-commerce hub 404 corresponding to the fourth milestone completion. Thereafter, the vendor 406 may share the client documents with the e-commerce hub 404 with the details of the work completed along with other document formalities. The vendor 406 may also request for payment. The vendor 406 may then be allowed to interact with the client 402 for convincing the client 402 for providing payment of the work completed in fourth and final milestone. The vendor 406 may brief all the work done and may show proof of quality or service. After the interaction between the client 402 and the vendor 406, the e-commerce hub 404 may prompt the client 402 to provide a feedback for the vendor 406. The client 402 may or may not have liked the work of the vendor 406 in the fourth milestone. The e-commerce hub 404 may offer liasioning session to the client 402 and may even facilitate the vendor 406 to communicate again with the client 402 for settlements.
[00093] If the client 402 provides a positive feedback and is satisfied by the overall work done by the vendor 406 then the client 402 may notify the e-commerce hub 404 to pay the vendor 406 for the payment of the final milestone. However, if the client 402 provides a negative feedback for the work done by the vendor 406 then the e-commerce hub 404 may offer the client 402 to restore the service using in-house team of the e-commerce hub 404. As soon as the client 402 selects the in-house team of the e-commerce hub 404 as the new vendor for the final milestone, the e-commerce hub 404 may automatically restore the project. The e-commerce hub 404 already has all the documents corresponding to the work completed by the vendor 406 and may use the documents to continue providing services to the client 402. The e-commerce hub may not compensate the vendor 406 for the work done in the fourth milestone as the client 402 is not happy with the work. In case of any dispute, the client 402 may be given ten minutes of time to chat with an expert for free to satisfy queries and doubts of the client 402.
