, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates to the field of computer graphics, and more specifically, to a method and system for interior design of architecture using augmented reality technology.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In architecture field the Interior design is the main factor which improves look of the building very pleasant.
Interior design is done through the labour intensive and time-consuming process of obtaining measurements of rooms and measurements of objects to be placed in the room. The measurements are inputted to computer software and renders a mock-up of what the interior place could look like. Mock-ups are just that, a draft of what something could look like. There are no real-world items are in the rendering and it is not a replacement for real world object placement.
Currently interior decoration or planning is through computer software with generic 3D models on a flat 2D monitor. Software such as CAD (Computer Aided Design).
The present invention suggests the solution to above problem. It suggests the interior design of architecture using augmented reality technology.
In recent years, virtual and augmented reality have become the latest technology in visual immersion. The present invention seeks to combine the technology of augmented reality with interior design.
Augmented reality (AR) is a type of interactive, reality-based display environment that takes the capabilities of computer-generated display, sound, text and effects to enhance the user's real-world experience.
Augmented reality technology has ability to provide real-time information. Also Augmented reality technology increase efficiency, improve safety, streamline collaboration, manage costs, and overall boost project confidence.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is, interior design for architecture using augmented reality technology.
Another object of the invention is, AR (augmented reality) enabled devices are needed (such as smart phone with high definition, AR headset).
Another object of the invention is, drawing/photos of objects from their own phone gallery should be ready.
Other object of the invention is, real time object placement should be done.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the interior design for architecture using augmented reality technology. The system and method comprising of:
The 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional photos of objects should be present in user’s smart phone. Augmented reality technology can produce detailed interactive objects combined with 3-dimensional photos in a such a way that, object look like place in a particular place where camera of phone is focused. This can be useful to show the interior design to the client.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig 1 shows flowchart of the method and computer program for this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for interior design for architecture using augmented reality technology.
The present invention system is comprising of contents such as;
Any high definition smart phone
The web application of interior design for architecture
The present invention implemented in a combination of both hardware and software.
The present invention system is comprising of;
Step 1) The high definition smart phone having active internet connection
Step 2) The architect team member opens the application of interior design for architecture
Step 3) Select the photo of objects from application
Step 4) Press button ‘check suitability’
Step 5) The three-dimensional view of the object is displayed in the graphical image of place where mobiles camera focused
Step 6) Architect team member can see whether particular product is suitable for particular place or not
This is general overview of system. System is not bounded to this only.
Augmented reality has the potential to revolutionize interior design for architecture by bringing objects to life in front of team and client through 3D models that can size up, examine from all angles, and even place in the environment around team member.
Here by using this invention architect team member can see how the object look actually at place. It can zoom in or zoom out the image to see the product minutely.
It helps to imagine how the product look with the planned scenario.
The advantage of the invention presented is as follows;
It engages and excites client. When architect team member has valuable leads, he/she want to keep them engaged and interested in their interior design.
It provides audience with valuable visuals. One of the biggest problem’s client face is trying to visualize a product in their lives.
It puts audience in control.
It helps buyer for decision making.
The example of this invention is as, suppose client wants to place easy chair for relaxation at home. Architect team member would open the web application. Search for particular product. Select some 3-4 types. Now with the help of this invention, architect team member can see how particular easy chair will look at home.
Team member would check for each and every angle of chair. So, it is very helpful for team member in decision making for interior design.
