Claims:We Claim:
1) The system and method for managing inventory of refrigerator using Internet of Things (IoT) comprising of;
a. Any smart electronic computing device - used for storing inventory management of refrigerator application;
b. Sensors - Sense temperature inside refrigerator and send data to smart electronic device such as smart phone;
c. Cameras - Capture images of food items from inside of refrigerator; and
d. Wi-Fi connectivity modem - for connectivity between sensor and electronic device
2) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, the sensor sense inside temperature of refrigerator.
3) The system claimed in claim1 wherein, the camera installed inside the refrigerator capturing the image of a shelf, a drawer, or trays of the refrigerator.
4) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, the image is transmitted to the server through the internet using a wireless connection (Wi-fi).
5) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, the server send alert to user/owner that particular food items are finished and need to stock again in refrigerator.
, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for managing inventory of refrigerator using Internet of Things. Particularly, the system alerts user that which items are finished and need to stock again.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Refrigerator is now very common and useful product of day to day life. Almost each and every person used refrigerator. The main purpose of refrigerator is to keep food cold. Cold temperatures help food to stay fresh longer. The basic idea behind refrigeration is to slow down the activity of bacteria (which all food contains) so that it takes longer for the bacteria to spoil the food.
Generally, some food items are stocked in refrigerator to use on daily or weekly basis such as, fruit jam, cheese, butter, milk. These items are used generally on daily basis. But as due to busy life or negligence it may happen, when these items are needed, people found that these items are finished. So, have to run for these items.
Currently there is no automatic system which tells user/ owner that which items are finished and have to stock again. Manually user/owner has to check refrigerator for items quantity. If user/owner forget to check then when these items are needed, it may find finished.
The present invention discloses the system and method for managing inventory of refrigerator using internet of things (IoT). Technology making complicated things to simple one. And inventory management of refrigerator is one of them.
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of connected devices embedded with electronic devices, software, sensors, actuators, and so on which enable these objects to collect and exchange data. The concept of IoT has many applications depending on the physical devices that are connected and one of the most remarkable applications of IoT is inventory management of refrigerator. As the name suggest, it manage the inventory of items which required on daily basis.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is that, the system and method for managing inventory of refrigerator using internet of things (IoT).
Another object of the invention is that, send alert/SMS to owner/user about finished food in refrigerator.
Other object of the invention is that, number of sensors and cameras are used for process.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for inventory management of refrigerator using Internet of Things (IoT). The number of sensors and cameras are installed in fridge doors and main body. These cameras take images of various parts of refrigerator. With the help of previous records, it alerts the user/owner which food items are finished. And need to stock again. When any food items in refrigerator is finished then sensor and cameras send information to smart phone using Internet of Things (IoT). Wi-fi modem installed for connectivity of sensors, cameras and smart phone.

The present invention discloses the system and method for managing inventory of refrigerator by using Internet of Things (IoT).
Internet of Things (IoT) has many applications depending on the physical devices that are connected and one of the most remarkable applications of IoT is inventory management of refrigerator. Refrigerator that have been made capable of alerting/sending message to owner/user about finished food items.
The system and method for managing inventory of refrigerator using Internet of Things (IoT) is comprising of:
Any smart electronic computing device – storing inventory management of refrigerator application
Sensors – Sense temperature inside refrigerator and send data to smart electronic device such as smart phone
Cameras – Capture images of food items from inside of refrigerator
Wi-Fi modem – for connectivity between sensor and electronic device
The system and method for managing inventory of refrigerator using Internet of Things (IoT) can work as following:
Step 1) The inventory management of refrigerator application is installed to smart electronic device such as smart phone
Step 2) The number of sensors and cameras are installed inside the refrigerator
Step 3) The Wi-Fi modem for connectivity between smart device and sensors/ cameras is installed
Step 4) With regular interval of time sensor sense data from refrigerator and sent to cloud server, and then data sent to smart phone
Step 5) The cameras inside refrigerator take images of various place and send images to cloud server using wi-fi modem. Then server check whether it is any food items which are previously present is finished or not
Step 6) Send alert/SMS to user/owner from cloud server about finished food items
This is the basic model of managing inventory of refrigerator. And scope of this invention is not limited to this only.
The sensors which are installed at various parts of refrigerator, senses temperature. And send data to cloud server using Internet of Things (IoT). And then server send temperature data to user/owner.
The cameras are installed at each and every tray of doors and also main body of refrigerator. Then these images are sent to cloud server using Internet of Things (IoT) with the help of Wi-Fi modem.
The backend server checks the images. If there are any finished food items which are present previously then SMS/alert is sent to user/owner about it.
Wi-Fi modem is used for connectivity between sensors, cameras and smart phone.
The sensors and cameras attached to smart refrigerators allow you to monitor inventory of refrigerator. Additionally, it enables you to track food items quantity without opening its door.
Today’s busy schedule it may happen person forget which food are stored in refrigerator and which are not. And after some period, when user want to need that food items, user came to knew that food items are finished. So, user has to run for particular food items. To solve this problem the present invention, provide system and method for managing inventory of refrigerator.
So, user can take immediate action to stock needed food items in refrigerator.
The present invention doesn’t limit the scope here only. Many more features can be added to make refrigerator more user friendly by using Internet of Things (IoT).
