Claims:We Claim:
1) A system for managing electronic emails for mobile phones comprising of;
A system for electronic mail filtering, email server;
Local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN); and
A mobile device for receiving messages;
Wherein the electronic mail filtering is for filtering the email messages in order to keep only important messages; local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) such as internet is for transmitting the messages to a mobile device and email server for receiving email messages which are associated to an inbox of the user.
2) A process for managing electronic emails for mobile phones comprising the steps of;
Receiving messages of user through email server;
Filtering the email messages through electronic mail filtering;
Sorting important, less important, spam, relatives, and friends messages to their respective folder;
Deleting less important messages;
Transmitting important messages to mobile device;
Wherein the sorting of important or desirable messages are only kept in their respective folder based on urgency or importance of messages to the user and less important messages are deleted automatically.
3)The process as claimed in claim 2, wherein sorting of spam messages is carried out and these messages are moved to their respective folder based on criteria for filtering of email messages set by user and the messages of relatives and friends are moved to their respective folders.
4) The process as claimed in claim 2, wherein the important messages are displayed to user at the mobile as per criteria set by user.
5) The process as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said important emails are decided on the basis of specific criteria such as auto-expiry or sender based expiry, specified email addresses, email domains, subject lines and the body of the email.
6) The process as claimed in claim 2, wherein said less important emails are deleted automatically so as to lessen the emails.
, Description:Field of the invention:

The present invention relates to system and method for managing emails. The present invention more particularly relates to a simple system and method for managing emails by matching and filtering specific criteria.
Background of the invention:
Emails are a productive miracle for helping companies and individuals for effective communication than telephone, mail and fax. A large volume of emails in inbox causes it as a burden in order to do their work within respective timelines.
Use of filters is one of the ways for managing emails as filters sorts emails to some folders. As the folder number increases, the burden on user increases which results in individual checking of folders for getting respective emails.
Some filters are necessary for identifying spam mails. The spam folder allows a user to review message for correct identification of spam mails. An individual may choose to subscribe to receive various commercial e-mail messages concerning topics of interest. In some cases, a spam filter may mistakenly identify desired messages as spam and filter out or delete these messages.
Now a days each and every user utilizes mobile devices such as cellular phones, portable computing devices, mobile email devices to access email systems. Mobile devices make it possible for the user to receive and respond quickly to urgent, time-sensitive, or other types of messages desirable to the user when away from a personal computer. Connection of mobile device with email system is difficult without specialized knowledge. The support of IT department is necessary for proper connectivity of email system. Conversations are needed in order to ask appropriate questions about the desired service for implementing it in mobile device.
While the size of mobile devices makes their use and portability convenient, small size also presents some disadvantages. For example, small mobile display is inconvenient for a recipient to visually browse through a cluttered inbox crowded with unidentified spam, commercial e-mail messages, and various other e-mail messages that may not be desirable to the recipient. The size of mobile devices may also make it difficult and inconvenient for the user to create e-mail filters, even if the user is knowledgeable about it to do so.
A user has to manual set the filter for getting required information on mobile device. User can add contacts to contact list and set the filter in such a way so as to get the relevant and required emails in inbox. The user may add all data entries as the user is moving from one place to another place. It only complicates data entry on a smaller data entry device.
Small display screens on mobile make the review of entered data difficult and sometimes it becomes difficult to access more than one account (personal and working account). So there is a need for a simple system and method for managing emails properly by using few folders for all the incoming emails and in order to get done their work easily and efficiently.
The present invention is a system and method for effective and efficient management of emails which helps the user to manage emails properly and saves the time of user.
Objects of the invention:
Main object of the present invention is to provide a simple system and method for managing emails by matching and filtering specific criteria.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide filtering of emails in order to synchronise the emails based on specific criteria such as moving email to another folder, copying email to another folder and deleting the email.
Other objects and benefits of the present invention will be more apparent from the following description, which is not intended to bind the scope of the present invention.

Accordingly, the present invention is a system and method for managing emails. A system for managing electronic emails for mobile phones comprising of; a system for electronic mail filtering, email server; local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN); and a mobile device for receiving messages; wherein the electronic mail filtering is for filtering the email messages in order to keep only important messages; local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) such as internet is for transmitting the messages to a mobile device and email server for receiving email messages which are associated to an inbox of the user.

The invention will now be described in detail in connection with certain preferred and optional embodiments, so that various aspects thereof may be more fully understood and appreciated.
The present invention is a simple system and method for managing email by applying filtering to emails in order to synchronise the emails based on specific criteria such as moving email to another folder, copying email to another folder and deleting the email.

Receiving messages of user through email server;
Filtering the email messages through electronic mail filtering;
Sorting important, less important, spam, relatives, and friends messages to their respective folder;

Wherein the sorting of important or desirable messages are only kept in their respective folder based on urgency or importance of messages to the user and less important messages are deleted automatically. Spam messages are moved to their respective folder based on criteria for filtering of email messages set by user and the messages of relatives and friends are moved to their respective folders.
In one embodiment, a user gets only urgent and important email messages in inbox by filtering the email messages. The email messages which are addressed to user are received by email server further forwarded to user’s mobile device. The specific criteria used include specified email addresses, email domains, subject lines and the body of the email. Time elapsed include amount of time since the email has been created, sent or received. Users accessing emails of the present invention are able to apply time elapsed theme to particular email addresses. After certain time period, emails are moved to the appropriate folders. Emails from work can be moved easily to work folder. Emails from family, friends can be moved easily to the particular folder related to family and friends. Another one filter can be applied in which emails are only moved to their respective folders after reading of the email by user.
A message from an email address from user’s contacts such relatives, friends is desirable which is used by the user for sending any message or message reflecting same keywords in subject of emails. This allows the user to review an email inbox on mobile device without reviewing desirable from undesirable messages.
In another embodiment, the setup of emails should be such that only important emails are remained in the inbox and deletion of other less important emails is done automatically. Those emails must be moved after a few days and new emails should come only to the inbox of the user. The parameters to decide the importance of emails can be set by user such as auto-expiry or sender based expiry.
In this way, the present invention helps in deciding the important emails and simplifies the email management which results in less consumption of time for sorting of the emails. Customization of email can also be carried out in order to see alternative email ids of the sender.
Spam filer is a software application for identifying and further processing of spam email messages. The spam filter processes an identified spam message in spam folder which are deleted automatically or removed manually as per setting by user from email inbox. Spam filter identifies a spam message and allows user input for deleting those messages.
The email filtering is carried out on email server side of mobile email communication system.
For example: If user has got 20 email messages then if one email is found in contacts database, then 8 email are having same email address as shown in already existing emails and the remaining email addresses can be accessed by user on mobile display.
