, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for museum tour by using augmented reality technology. In particular, it is related to museum tour field.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
A museum is an institution that cares for (conserves) a collection of artifacts and other objects of artistic, cultural, historical, or scientific importance.
The traditional role of museums is to collect objects and materials of cultural, religious and historical importance, preserve them, research into them and present them to the public for the purpose of education and enjoyment.
But as technology getting more and more advanced, the people trying to make world close to them as possible as. Mobile and internet making people to spend lots of time with them. So now a days it is happening, people avoid to go to social places, such as museums.
Currently most of the museum committee try to attract tourist for museum tour. But it is hardly giving output in this techno-savvy world. When visitor visits museum they are not so much aware about museum. To know information related to museum, guide is required. But again, language become barrier between guide and visitor.
The present invention solves the above problem. The present invention discloses the system and method for museum tour by using augmented reality technology.
Visitor has to open the web application on their smart mobile phone so they can use the invention to take an informative tour of museum with augmented reality.
Augmented reality (AR) is a type of interactive, reality-based display environment that takes the capabilities of computer-generated display, sound, text and effects to enhance the user's real-world experience.
Augmented reality technology has ability to provide real-time information. Also Augmented reality technology increase efficiency, improve safety, streamline collaboration, manage costs, and overall boost project confidence.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is, the system and method for museum tour by using augmented reality technology.
Another object of the invention is, AR (augmented reality) enabled devices are needed (such as smart phone with high definition, AR headset).
Other object of the invention is, all information of museum should be feed to application.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for museum tour by using augmented reality technology. The system and method comprising of: the photos and information of all objects/things are stored in application. Visitor opens application on smart phone. Augmented reality technology produces detailed interactive objects combined with photos of museum objects in such a way that, when camera of mobile focused to any object, all the information of that particular object is seen on the screen of smart phone.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig 1 shows flowchart of the method and computer program for this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for museum tour by using augmented reality technology.
The present invention system is comprising of components such as;
Any high definition smart phone
The web application of museum tour by using augmented reality
The present invention implemented in a combination of both hardware and software. The present invention system is comprising of;
Step 1) The high definition smart phone which has active internet connection
Step 2) Visitor open the web application of museum tour by using augmented reality technology
Step 3) The three-dimensional view of the object is displayed in the graphical image of place where mobiles camera is focused
Step 4) All related information of that particular object is seen on screen of smart phone
Step 5) Visitor can gain information and knowledge of particular object of museum with the help of the invention
This is general overview of system. System is not bounded to this only.
Here by using this invention application when visitor walk in museum, as the mobile’s camera focused on any object of museum, its augmented reality image has been seen on the screen of mobile. And related information of that particular object is also seen on screen of mobile.
The invention helps visitor to understand how the object/things of museum had been look like in past/history and all information related to it also. So, it helps visitor to understand the importance of that object/thing of museum. As visualization leave more impact on people’s mind rather than just audio information.
It just not gives information to visitor but also it shows an object in real time. So, visitor not only understand its information but also know how it was used/or important in history/past.
Take an example, the visitor doesn’t know the native language where museum is situated. Visitor doesn’t understand the guides language as well. So how visitor know and understand what is the significance of museum and its objects?
The answer is this invention application. With this invention application, user not only gain information but can see the augmented reality image of that particular object.
Augmented reality has the potential to revolutionize interior design for architecture by bringing objects to life in front of team and client through 3D models that can size up, examine from all angles, and even place in the environment around team member.
The advantage of the invention presented is as follows;
It engages and excites visitor.
It provides visitors with valuable information as well as augmented reality image of objects of museum.
Visitor could check for each and every angle of object. So, it is very helpful for visitor to gain the knowledge of museum objects.
Augmented reality (AR) is a type of interactive, reality-based display environment that takes the capabilities of computer-generated display, sound, text and effects to enhance the user's real-world experience.
