Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a light source configured in an area of interest. The system includes one or more motion sensing devices configured in the area of interest. A driving unit operatively configured with the light source. The system being configured to receive, from the one or more motion sensing devices, a first set of signals pertaining to presence of the living thing in the section of the area interest. Identify, based on the first set of signals, a direction in which the living thing is present in the section of the area of interest and correspondingly generate a second set of signals. Communicate, based on the second set of signals, a third set of signals to the driving unit. The second set of signals facilitate moving the light source, to illuminate the second section, towards the direction.

Specification

The present disclosure relates to the field of streetlighting. More
particularly the present disclosure relates to system and method of operating a movable streetlight in an area of interest.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Background description includes information that may be useful in
understanding the present invention. It is not an admission that any of the
information provided herein is prior art or relevant to the presently claimed
invention, or that any publication specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
[0003] Conventional streetlights in residential areas are installed at a
particular distance for illumination during the night. Especially in rural areas where the frequency of streetlights is very less, the distance between the streetlights increases further. A streetlight throws light with maximum intensity on a specific road surface (Fig 1. 106). The increased distance between the streetlights may leave some areas which are not illuminated and stay dark during the nighttime leading to the inconvenience of road users.
[0004] There is, therefore, a need of an improved streetlight system which
is free from aforementioned problems.
OBJECTS OF THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE
[0005] Some of the objects of the present disclosure, which at least one
embodiment herein satisfies are as listed herein below.
[0006] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a system and
method for operating streetlight, which is cost effective.
[0007] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a system and
method for operating streetlight, which efficiently cover any blind spots in an area
of interest.
[0008] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a system and
method for operating streetlight, which easy to use.

[0009] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a system and
method for operating streetlight, which requires less maintenance cost.
[0010] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a system and
method for operating streetlight, which is cost effective.
[0011] It is an object of the present disclosure to provide a system and
method for operating streetlight, which increase safety on the road.
SUMMARY
[0012] The present disclosure relates to the field of streetlighting. More
particularly the present disclosure relates to system and method of operating a movable streetlight in an area of interest.
[0013] An aspect of the present disclosure pertains to a system for
operating a light source configured in an area of interest. The system includes one or more motion sensing devices configured in the area of interest to sense presence of living thing in a section of the area of interest. A driving unit operatively configured with the light source. A processor operatively configured with the one or more motion sensing devices and the driving unit. The processor being configured to execute a set of instructions, stored in a memory, which, on execution, causes the system to receive, from the one or more motion sensing devices, a first set of signals pertaining to presence of the living thing in the section of the area interest. Identify, based on the first set of signals, a direction in which the living thing is present in the section of the area of interest and correspondingly generate a second set of signals. Communicate, based on the second set of signals, a third set of signals to the driving unit. The second set of signals facilitate moving the light source, to illuminate the second section, towards the direction.
[0014] In an aspect, the area of interest may comprise any or combination
of an outdoor area, or an indoor area.
[0015] In an aspect, the section may be non-illuminated area of the area of
interest.

[0016] In an aspect, the light source may be movably configured with the
help of a movable mount operatively configured with the driving unit.
[0017] In an aspect, the movable mount may be configured to move in
both horizontal and vertical direction.
[0018] A method for operating a light source in an area of interest. The
method includes receiving, from one or more motion sensing devices configured in a section of the area of interest, a first set of signals pertaining to presence of the living thing in the section of the area interest. Identifying, based on the first set of signals, a direction in which the living thing is present in the section of the area of interest and correspondingly generate a second set of signals. Communicating, based on the second set of signals, a third set of signals to the driving unit, and the second set of signals facilitate moving the light source, to illuminate the second section, towards the direction.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0024] The following is a detailed description of embodiments of the
disclosure depicted in the accompanying drawings. The embodiments are in such detail as to clearly communicate the disclosure. However, the amount of detail offered is not intended to limit the anticipated variations of embodiments; on the contrary, the intention is to cover all modifications, equivalents, and alternatives falling within the scope of the present disclosure as defined by the appended claims.

[0026] The present disclosure relates to the field of streetlighting. More
particularly the present disclosure relates to system and method of operating a movable streetlight in an area of interest.
[0027] The present disclosure elaborates upon a system for operating a
light source configured in an area of interest. The system includes one or more motion sensing devices configured in the area of interest to sense presence of living thing in a section of the area of interest. A driving unit operatively configured with the light source. A processor operatively configured with the one or more motion sensing devices and the driving unit. The processor being configured to execute a set of instructions, stored in a memory, which, on

execution, causes the system to receive, from the one or more motion sensing
devices, a first set of signals pertaining to presence of the living thing in the
section of the area interest. Identify, based on the first set of signals, a direction in
which the living thing is present in the section of the area of interest and
correspondingly generate a second set of signals. Communicate, based on the
second set of signals, a third set of signals to the driving unit. The third set of
signals facilitate moving the light source, to illuminate the second section,
towards the direction.

system for operating a light source configured in an area of interest, in accordance
with an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0034] As illustrated, a system 100 for operating a light source 102
configured in an area of interest can include one or more motion sensing devices
104 that can be configured in the area of interest. The motion sensing devices 104

can be configured to sense presence of a moving object that can be a living thing or a non-living thing, in a section of the area of interest. The motion sensing device 104 can include but not limited to ultrasonic sensors, and infrared sensors. A driving unit 106 can be operatively configured with the light source 102. The driving unit 106 can include but not limited to a motor. A processing unit 108, having a processor 110, can be operatively configured with the motion sensing devices 104 and the driving unit 106.
[0035] In an embodiment, the processor 110 can be configured to execute
a set of instructions, stored in a memory 112, the execution of the instructions can
cause the system to receive, from the one or more motion sensing devices 104, a
first set of signals pertaining to presence of the living thing in the section of the
area interest. Identify, based on the first set of signals, a direction in which the
moving object is present in the section of the area of interest and correspondingly
generate a second set of signals. Communicate, based on the second set of signals,
a third set of signals to the driving unit. The second set of signals facilitate
moving the light source, to illuminate the second section, towards the direction.
[0036] In an embodiment, once a movement is detected in the section of
the area of interest, the system can be configured to apply an image acquisition technique on the first set of signals for identifying the moving object. The image acquisition technique can include but not limited to deep learning based convolutional neural networks, YOLO v3, and computer vision techniques like Ostu's thresholding. This can facilitate in recognition or identify of any prohibited moving objects in the section. For example, if the moving object is a vehicle and the area of interest is a no-vehicle zone, and a heavy vehicle if the area of interest is a light motor vehicle zone. In such cases, the system can intimate, through a call or message, relevant authority about the same. Further, the system can apply audio processing to the first set of signals to identify if the vehicle is blowing horn in case the area of interest is horn-restricted zone such as but not limited to a hospital, a school etc. The audio processing technique can include deep learning based convolutional neural networks and long short-term learning. The system can be operatively configured with one or more mobile computing devices that

can be associated, through network, with one or more user of the relevant authorities.
[0037] In an embodiment, the area of interest can comprise any or
combination of an outdoor area, or an indoor area. The section can be non-illuminated area of the area of interest. The light source can be movably configured with the help of a movable mount operatively configured with the driving unit. The movable mount can be configured to move in three dimension that can facilitate a comprehensive movement of the light source in the area of interest.
[0038] FIG. 2 illustrates exemplary representation of method for operating
a light source in an area of interest, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0039] As illustrated, at step 202, a method 200 for operating a light
source in an area of interest can include receiving, from one or more motion
sensing devices configured in a section of the area of interest, a first set of signals
pertaining to presence of the living thing in the section of the area interest.
[0040] At step 204, the method 200 can include identifying, based on the
first set of signals, a direction in which the living thing is present in the section of
the area of interest and correspondingly generate a second set of signals.
[0041] At step 206, the method 200 can include communicating, based on
the second set of signals, a third set of signals to the driving unit, and the third set of signals facilitate moving the light source, to illuminate the second section, towards the direction.

We Claim:

1. A system for operating a light source configured in an area of interest, the
system comprising:
one or more motion sensing devices configured in the area of interest to sense presence of a moving object in a section of the area of interest;
a driving unit operatively configured with the light source;
a processor operatively configured with the one or more motion sensing devices and the driving unit, the processor being configured to execute a set of instructions, stored in a memory, which, on execution, causes the system to:
receive, from the one or more motion sensing devices, a
first set of signals pertaining to presence of the moving object in
the section of the area interest,
identify, based on the first set of signals, a direction in
which the moving object is present in the section of the area of
interest and correspondingly generate a second set of signals, and communicate, based on the second set of signals, a third set
of signals to the driving unit, wherein the third set of signals
facilitate moving the light source, to illuminate the second section,
towards the direction.
2. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the area of interest comprises any or combination of an outdoor area, or an indoor area.
3. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the section is non-illuminated area of the area of interest.
4. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the light source is movably configured with the help of a movable mount operatively configured with the driving unit.
5. The system as claimed in claim 2, wherein the movable mount it configured to move in both horizontal and vertical direction.

6. The system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the system identifies the moving object through an image acquisition technique and audio processing technique.
7. A method for operating a light source in an area of interest, the method comprising:
receiving, from one or more motion sensing devices configured in a section of the area of interest, a first set of signals pertaining to presence of a moving object in the section of the area interest;
identifying, based on the first set of signals, a direction in which the moving object is present in the section of the area of interest and correspondingly generate a second set of signals; and
communicating, based on the second set of signals, a third set of signals to the driving unit, wherein the third set of signals facilitate moving the light source, to illuminate the second section, towards the direction.
