System And Method For Optimizing Memory Read And Write Operations
Abstract: A system and method for optimizing memory read and memory write operations of a computer operating system is disclosed. The computer system comprises a processor, a first memory module and a second memory module. The first memory module is a Random Access Memory (RAM) and the second memory module is a flash-based storage device. The operating system, which comprises a boot loader, a kernel component and a root file system, is stored in the second memory module. At first, the boot loader is transferred from the second memory module to the RAM and is executed by the processor. Secondly, the processor loads the bootable image, which comprises the kernel component and the root file system onto the RAM for execution. Once the computer system is booted up, the processor performs the node initialization as configured in the bootable image.
