Abstract: The present invention discloses system and method for order picking by using big data technology. Big data solutions allow data from different sources like orders, product inventory, warehouse layout, and historical picking times to be analysed together based on the rules defined by the retailer. Then retailer get all this information from big data technology. Retailer carried out process suggested by invention application to improve the overall picking process.
Claims:We claim:
1) The system and method for order picking by using big data technology is comprising of the contents such as;
a. Backend server – An application of order picking is installed at backend server;
b. Any open-source framework like Hadoop for data analysis which stored data on big data; and
c. An application of order picking
2) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, big data solution analyses data from different sources with the rules defined by the retailer to improve the overall picking process.
3) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, order picked faster.
4) The system claimed in claim1 and claim 3 wherein, order shipped faster.
5) The system claimed in claim 1, claim 3 and claim 4 wherein, resulting in better order fulfilment.
6) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, large retailer and smaller retailers can also used this to improve their order picking process.
, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for order picking by using big data technology. The invention is related to warehouse management, which are now well developed due to upcoming technologies. Big data is one of the best technologies which can be effectively used for order picking.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In any industry, the main aim is to complete the order given by client. Behind this process, there are so many subprocesses included which combinedly complete the order. The process of order completion is Order invoice, recognizing and collecting all sub parts for main order, various operations performed on sub parts to form a main part, testing the main part, sending to quality control, dispatch to client and last is maintenance after dispatch to client.
The all processes should be work as one by one completion mode. To complete particular order, this process/system should be followed.
Order picking is the process of finding and extracting products from a warehouse to fulfil customer orders. Since the order picking process involves significant cost and can affect customer satisfaction levels, there has been an increasing number of improvements proposed to help companies with this supply chain issue.
Order picking is an important aspect within any warehouse. It forms as much as 55% of operation costs within any distribution centre, compared to shipping, storage and receiving stages and has a direct impact on customer satisfaction levels.
Currently, order picking is done manually. The order list is generated and warehouse team member goes and pick the order item one by one. But it is so time consuming and sometimes it may cause some problem.
The present invention gives the solution to above problem.

The present invention discloses the system and method for product sourcing in retail by using big data technology.
Big data is the vast volume of structured or unstructured data that is readily available at our collective fingertips. These large data sets are analysed to reveal previously unknown patterns and provide insights into businesses, human behaviour, and more. Big data analysis is used for everything from financial services, to gauging someone’s productivity, to even monitoring the weather.
The key feature of big data is to analyse, understand and interpret it in order to give user a full a picture as possible about the order picking.

Big data consists of five stages such as-
Data sources- web and social media, machines, Sensing, IoT
Content format – structured, semi-structured, unstructured data
Data stores – document oriented, column oriented, graph database, key value
Data Staging – cleaning, transform and normalization
Data processing – Batch and real time
The system and method for order management by using blockchain technology is comprising of the steps are as;
Step 1) Backend server has to be installed order picking application
Step 2) Warehouse team member open the invention application
Step 3) Team member select which order should be completed
Step 4) Team member can see information provided by big data related to selected order
Step 5) Team member would process order picking

The invention application has advantage, such as;
If the orders can be picked faster, they can be shipped faster, resulting in better order fulfilment. Large retailers use a variety of automated mechanisms to pick the orders quickly, but with big data even the smaller retailers can improve their order picking process.
Take an example, one particular order is selected by team member. The team member gets all the information related to order which is analysed together based on the rules defined by the retailer. Then retailer carried out process suggested by invention application to improve the overall picking process.
