System And Method For Predicting The Remaining Useful Life Of Led Signaling Lights Used In Railway Networks

Abstract: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE REMAINING USEFUL LIFE OF LED SIGNALING LIGHTS USED IN RAILWAY NETWORKS System for predicting the remaining useful life of LED signaling lights comprises: - one device (10) comprising a plurality of light-sensitive sensors (17)and arranged to capture one image of a railway signaling light (3) including a first LED lamp (4) emitting a light having a first color; - one or more electronic processing units configured: - to measure the actual intensity distributed over the plurality of light-sensitive sensors of said light; and then - to calculate a future degradation rate of said first LED lamp (4) based on the measured actual intensity, and on one or more of: a reference intensity for said first LED lamp (4); an accumulated time of operation carried out by said first LED lamp (4), recorded data for said first LED lamp (4) indicative of previously measured intensity(ies).
