Abstract: The present invention relates to a tax return preparation and filing system comprising a processor in combination with memory and input devices, a tax return template database, a business profile database, a business Profile for the Business Owner having data necessary to prepare tax returns in conjunction with other data which may be required for validation from government authorities, an invoice database operationally connected to the said processor prepared on the basis of business profile and other data, and a user verifying module to verify the prepared tax return and to provide One Time Password (OTP) for submitting the return on official website, a validation module to validate the entries in the tax return prepared. The tax return is generated by the processor by combining the data from said tax return template, business profile, invoice data and validating the data at government portal, the said tax return stored in tax return database.

Description:TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present disclosure generally relates to the field of preparing tax returns. In particular, the present disclosure pertains to online methods and systems that enable vendors/service providers collecting government mandated taxes through invoices to prepare tax returns for submissions to tax authorities by taking confirmation from them through secure messaging apps.

BACKGROUND

[0003] Many types of taxes have been mandated by tax authority/tax authorities. Some of these pertain to direct tax and other pertains to indirect tax. Direct taxes are required to be rendered by the individual or organization or institution directly to tax authorities whereas indirect taxes are collected by vendors or service providers or other agencies on behalf of tax authority and then remitted to tax authority. Revenue generated by taxing public and organization provide government with necessary resources to undertake social and development activities and fulfill their planned and unplanned infrastructure development and projects. Taxes not collected and/or taxes collected and not deposited with tax authority are a major cause for loss of government revenue. A cumbersome tax remitting system can allow dishonest vendors to cheat government and dissuade even honest vendors to slip up or indefinitely delay remitting of tax collected by them. Therefore, it is essential that a simple mechanism be provided which allows tax collectors to remit the tax collected on behalf of tax authority in a simple and secure manner. Tax evasion also happens because government machinery is unable to monitor and ensure compliance. Therefore, it is important to monitor that the tax collected by all tax collectors is remitted to tax authority in reasonable or specified time period. Tax remittance is accompanied by the activity of preparing tax return statements which needs to filed with tax authorities.

[0004] There is therefore a need for a simple, reliable and efficient method and system that can allow vendors to prepare tax return statements and remit tax to tax authority.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

[0010] An object of present disclosure is to provide an online portal that enables vendors to prepare invoice to their customers.

[0012] Another object of present disclosure is to provide a scheduler which can initiate the process of automated preparation of tax return statements through confirmation from the vendors in their secure messaging apps.

SUMMARY
[0013] Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to the field of invoice preparation system wherein the said invoice preparation system comprises: a processor in combination with memory and input devices operationally connected with the said processor; a plurality of business profile templates; a business profile database prepared by combination of said business profile templates and taking inputs from the business owner through the use of input devices at the time of creation of business profile; a plurality of invoice templates, and a invoice database prepared by combination of said invoice template based on a business profile and taking inputs from the business owner through the use of input devices, wherein invoice is generated by the processor by combining the data from business profile template, invoice template and applicable tax structure based on said business profile, the said invoice is stored in invoice database. The business profile template database can reside in a dedicated server, cloud based system, standalone computing platform, or user mobile application.

[0014] In as aspect of the present invention the system enables displaying the said business template and getting user inputs can be implemented on server, standalone computer, smartphone app or on cloud based environment. The said business profile is generated for the business owner taking all inputs necessary to prepare tax returns in conjunction with other data which is required for validation from government authorities. The said invoice template is selected from a plurality of invoice templates stored in the system based on the domain of the Business and applicable tax structure. The System of displaying the said invoice template and getting user inputs can be implemented on server, standalone computer, and smartphone app or on cloud based environment.

The said system fetches business profile from the business database, fetch a tax return template based on business profile, fetch all invoice from the invoice database corresponding to a business profile, prepare the tax return, send details for user verification, validate the data and perform authentication on the tax authority portal and generate tax return and submit the same with tax Authority portal. The said user verifying module is an arrangement of interaction between the user and the system via chat messenger. Thereafter the said system send the invoice details and tax return to the user on a chat messenger to which the user confirms. The said system login’s on the website of the tax department website and request the user for OTP for authentication on chat based messenger. The said system submits the return on the website of the tax department and request the user for OTP for authentication on chat based messenger, wherein the said chat messenger is preferably WhatsApp.

In particular, the present disclosure pertains to methods and systems that enable vendors/service providers or any other entities/professionals/agencies to prepare tax returns and submit with government authority portals in coordination with the said vendors mobile authentications.

Upon receiving their confirmation the system performs all the computing task and prepares the return and accordingly proceeds to file the same in Tax Authority Portal.

a user verifying module to verify the prepared tax return and to provide One Time
Password (OTP) for submitting the return on official website;
a validation module to validate the entries in the tax return prepared,

2. A tax return preparation and filing system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the tax return template database can reside in a dedicated server, cloud based system, standalone computing platform, or user mobile application.

3. A tax return preparation and filing system as claimed in claim 1, wherein displaying the tax return template and getting user inputs can be implemented on server, standalone computer, smartphone app or on cloud based environment.

a processor in combination with memory and input devices operationally connected with the said processor;

a business profile database operationally connected with the said processor, comprising business Profile for the Business Owner having data necessary to prepare tax returns in conjunction with other data which may be required for validation from government authorities;
