, Description:Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention is generally related to recycling system, and more particularly to electronic waste recycling system which can enables recycling of all the electronic items including laptops, tablets, smartphones and so forth.
Background of the Invention
In today’s world, use of electronic items has grown substantially changing the ways in which we communicate with others, access information and perform several activities remotely. The electronic items which are in use every day can get spoilt anytime and even after several repairs, some might not work. In such cases, they must be discarded. Discarding the damaged electronic waste items along with other wastes might lead to pollution as they do not degrade on their own.
The disposal of the uses and damaged electronic items is a source of concern as they are full of metals and plastic which and not degradable. The electronic devices which are made of metals, plastics and glass, can be recycled and the working parts and non-damaged parts can be recovered. The smartphone production requires use of some of precious metals such as silver, gold, palladium and copper. In addition to these the hazardous materials such as lead, nickel and mercury are also used in some of the electronic items which might lead to disasters if not disposed properly. These metals could pose risks to human health or the environment if improperly handled.
There are several systems which are developed and are in use both by government sectors and private sectors which aid in electronic waste recycling.
Chinese patent application number 202070545U discloses an electronic waste disassembly recovery treatment device. With the adoption of the electronic waste disassembly recovery treatment device, electronic waste is subjected to the electronic waste disassembly recovery treatment by a waste treatment plasma disassembler monitored by an electronic controller in real time, an integral waste sorting synthesizer and a solid product recovery device sequentially. Not only is the sufficient and complete treatment of the electronic waste realized, but also the electronic waste disassembly recovery treatment device is more rapid and efficient. Meanwhile, the defects in the prior art can be overcome so as to achieve the effects that the electronic waste disassembly recovery treatment device is durable, and the environment is prevented from being polluted. The device ensures the maintenance time to be shortened and has excellent treatment effect on the electronic waste.
WIPO application number 2012102597A3 by Roumen Koytchev Zlatev, Tomás Rafael Prieto Baumann, Benjamín Váldez Salas discloses a method for recycling waste from electrical/electronic devices. The invention relates to a recycling method that is innovative in that it comprises a fragmentation circuit including a single fragmenter which is supplied from a loading zone and which allows waste from electrical/electronic devices to be introduced therein. The circuit comprises the extraction or selection of materials at least once and said materials are segregated from the circuit manually or mechanically. Selection is based on pre-established criteria, such as physical properties or characteristics such as shape and appearance. The material that fulfils the criteria is extracted from the circuit, while the remainder is left in the circuit. The remaining material continues along the fragmentation circuit in order to be fragmented again until it fulfils the selection criteria, after which the material is extracted from the main circuit. The system can include one or more selection units or stations which in turn can be linked to other selection units or stations in order to enhance the value of the materials. It is possible to create circuits which are supplied from a selection unit of the main circuit (e.g. a screen) and which, following extraction of the fractions that comply with the selection or classification processes, return the remaining material to the main circuit.
Even though there are several systems in place which aids in recycling of the damaged electronic items, lots of electronic items are not recycled and are disposed creating and increasing pollution in the environment. There is a need for a system which helps in recycling the electronic items, which overcomes all the drawbacks of the existing systems.
Object of the Invention
The primary object of present invention is to provide a system to recycle the electronic items.
Another object of present invention is to provide a method where the damaged electronic items are collected and are recycled.
Summary of the Invention
The present invention discloses a system for recycling the electronic items with the help of a website, which poses a threat to the clean environment. The system comprises of a website in which the uses would have to register themselves by providing the details of the electronic items they possess. In case the electronic items are order through the same website, then the details related to the purchased electronic items is automatically updated in the system.
The recycling of electronic items can be challenging as the discarded electronics devices are sophisticated devices manufactured from varying proportions of glass, metals, and plastics. According to the present invention, the electronic items which are ordered through the website which are to be disposed, can be collected from the user’s residence by the executives. In case of the electronic items which are not registered with the website, then they can be deposited by the users at the centres which are set for the same purpose. The users who request their electronic items to be picked; or if decide to deposit their electronic items at a centre, are provided with several coupons by the website, which they can use in future. Also the users can nominate other users to provide their electronic items for recycling.
Once the electronic items are collected and transported to the recycling centre, they are disassembled and are sorted to separate different parts of the electronic items. The disassembled parts of the electronic items are processed and separated into clean commodities that can be recycled and reused to make new products. This process involves sorting and separation of plastics and glasses from metals and internal circuitry of the electronic devices. The waste items are then shredded into pieces to prepare for further sorting.
The metal components can be separated using magnets, and other processes. The metals like aluminium, copper, and other metals are also separated through different processes and are reused. The electronic waste which contains metals like silver, gold, platinum, palladium, selenium, and others are separated from copper. The circuit boards which contain maximum plastic components are also separated and the remaining glass components are also separated. The sorted and separated metal, plastic and glass components of the disassembled electronic devices are further processed and purified in order to reuse them.

Detailed Description of Invention:
The present invention discloses a system for recycling the electronic items with the help of a website. The components of the present invention includes a website through which the electronic devices can be registered to be collected for recycling, an end user and plurality if electronic devices.
FIG. 1 illustrates an exemplary flowchart disclosing the method of recycling the electronic waste. With respect to FIG 1, the process involved in recycling of the damaged electronic items is disclosed, comprising of steps including collection of damaged electronic items from the users or by the users depositing them at the collection centre, followed by disassembly of the electronic items in order to separate the components. Once the parts of the damaged electronic items are disassembled, they need to be sorted out based on the type of material including plastic, metals and glass. The types of materials like plastics are separated; similarly the glass and metals are separated from other components and processed separately. The processed parts are reused as a raw material for production of various items.
According to the present invention, the users would have register themselves with the website by providing the details of the electronic items they possess. In case the electronic items are order through the same website, then the details related to the purchased electronic items is automatically updated in the system.
