, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for replenishment of warehouse for non-computerized system by using virtual reality technology. Particularly, it is related to replenishment of warehouse.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Replenishment is the movement of inventory from upstream or reserve product storage locations to downstream or primary storage, picking and shipment locations. The purpose of replenishment is to keep inventory flowing through the supply chain by maintaining efficient order and line item fill rates.
Inventory replenishment, otherwise known as stock replenishment, refers to the process of inventory moving from reserve storage to primary storage, then onto picking locations.
Non-computerized warehouse system means manual system of warehouse. In this method, all processes are done manually. Replenishment of warehouse is also one of them. While replenishment process, worker or warehouse team member has to find which rack space is empty and available for replenishment and place items on that rack.
There is no such system which tells warehouse team member which rack or space available for replenishment.
The present invention suggests solutions to above problem.
The present invention discloses the system and method for replenishment of warehouse for non-computerized system by using virtual reality technology.
Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D world.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is, the system and method for replenishment of warehouse for non-computerized system by using virtual reality technology.
Another object of the invention is, backend server for application installment is required.
Other object of the invention is, virtual scene of warehouse can be seen to backend server.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for replenishment of warehouse for non-computerized system by using virtual reality technology. The application for replenishment of warehouse for non-computerized system is installed at backend server. Number of Cameras are installed at various places of warehouse. Application stimulate the virtual scene of warehouse with the help of images taken by various cameras. Warehouse team member open the application and virtual scene can be seen on screen of background server. Now by setting in front of background server, team member can instruct worker which rack is empty and available for replenishment.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig 1 shows flowchart of the method and computer program for this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for replenishment of warehouse for non-computerized system by using virtual reality technology.
The present invention system is comprising of contents such as;
Backend server – The invention application is installed
The application for replenishment of warehouse for non-computerized system by using virtual reality technology
Number of cameras – Installed at various places of warehouse for capturing images of various rack
Wi-Fi modem – Used for connectivity between backend server and cameras
The present invention is comprising with following steps:
Step 1) The application of replenishment of warehouse for non-computerized system is installed at backend server
Step 2) The number of cameras is installed at various places of warehouse
Step 3) Cameras capture images of racks and send that images to backend server after periodical interval of time
Step 4) As Team member opens application, application stimulate virtual world of warehouse with the help of images sent by various cameras
Step 5) Team member feels he/she is part of that virtual warehouse
Step 6) Team member checks which rack of warehouse is empty and available for replenishing of items
Step 7) Inform to worker which rack is empty and available for replenishment
This is general overview of system. System is not bounded to this only.
The cameras installed at various places in a such way that all racks can be covered in the range of cameras. So, position of every rack should be known to application.
Then the application stimulates the virtual warehouse in a such wat that, when warehouse team member opens the invention application, he/she feels that he/she is the part of that virtual warehouse. Team member check position of each and every rack. And when he/she find any empty rack then he/she will inform to worker to replenish that rack. No need to get up and walk through all the warehouse area. By sitting on the chair in front of backend server, team member can know status of each and every rack of warehouse.
The advantage of the invention presented is as follows;
Searching time for empty rack is minimum – as compare to manual searching, virtual searching for empty places in rack can be very less.
Team member can keep track of each and every rack for its status such as empty or filled.
The example of this invention is as, suppose team member want to check whether there is any place for two big cartons. With the help of invention application, team member can easily know which rack is empty and has capacity to place that big two cartons.
Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds.
There are some advantages of virtual reality such as
Little/no risk- as it stimulates virtual world, it does not have any risk.
Safe and controlled area for working.
It stimulates realistic scenarios.
It can be operated remotely which is time and money saving.
