Description:Many of us may be using music player applications that give recommendations based on past history, but many individuals use music players to enhance their current mood, thus employing a recommendation engine that works with past history will pose a difficulty for a user to improve his/her mental state. The main objective of the project is to capture a person's feelings through the expressions on their face and play songs accordingly. The program captures the user's data and image, then refines it using image segmentation and image processing algorithms. Then it takes characteristics from a target human's face and tries to figure out what emotion he or she is feeling. The purpose of the project is to lift the user's spirits by playing music that is suited for the scenario , Claims:WE Claim that:
1. A System for selecting music based on facial expression involves capturing an image of a user through a camera; performing facial expression recognition of the user based on the image; and playing a song based on the facial expression of the user.

2. The system of claim 1, where it automatically captures the image of the user through the camera and blurring the surroundings to just focus on the human face.

3. The computer program of claim 1 wherein analysing the facial expressions includes at least one of:
determining if a brow is furrowed to indicate an angry mood, or an upset mood
determining if the brow is unfurrowed to indicate a neutral mood, or a mood of lesser intensity, and
analysing a user's mouth features to determine if the user is smiling, frowning, angry, experiencing an intense mood, or experiencing a neutral mood.

4. The system of claim 1, able to identify five emotions of the human face namely Happy, Sad, Angry, Neutral, and Surprise.

5. The System of claim 1, where selecting the first song based on the facial emotion identified.

6. The system of claim 5, able to play happy songs for neutral emotion identified, party songs for happy emotion identified, melody songs for Angry emotion identified, motivational songs for sad emotion identified and rock songs for surprise emotion identified.
