, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for Stargardt disease patient for vision by using virtual reality technology. In particular, it is related to therapy for stargardt disease patient.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Stargardt disease is also called Stargardt macular dystrophy, juvenile macular degeneration, or fundus flavimaculatus. The disease causes progressive damage or degeneration of the macula, which is a small area in the center of the retina that is responsible for sharp, straight-ahead vision.
Those who have the fundus flavimaculatus form of the disease, however, are likely to experience even more severe vision loss. Symptoms of Stargate’s disease can include blurry or distorted vision, inability to see in low lighting and difficulty recognizing familiar faces.
There is no cure or treatment for this condition. However, doctors often recommend that people wear sunglasses in the sun and areas where the light is bright.
As technology become more and more advanced, it tries to give solutions to each and every problem. The present invention discloses the system and method for stargardt disease patient for vision by using virtual reality technology.
The invention application will help stargardts disease patient to see clear images by using virtual reality application.
Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds.
Virtual reality is a simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world. Applications of virtual reality can include entertainment and educational purposes. Other, distinct types of VR style technology include augmented reality and mixed reality.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is, the system and method for stargardt disease patient for vision by using virtual reality technology.
Another object of the invention is, Virtual reality enabled devices are needed (such as VR headset).
Other object of the invention is, virtual workstation is created for stargardts disease patient.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for stargardt disease patient for vision by using virtual reality technology. The invention application is installed at backend server. The application is designed in a such a way that it creates virtual scene and situation of real scene and situation for stargardts disease patient in such a way that the patient can see the clear images of surrounding reality. Stargardts disease patient wear virtual reality handset. Virtual reality enabled headset is connected with backend server. As patient wear headset, he can see virtual scene of real scene or image. With the help of headset, patient can clearly see the real surrounding world.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig 1 shows flowchart of the method and computer program for this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for stargardt disease patient for vision by using virtual reality technology.
The present invention system and method for stargardt disease patient for vision is comprising of components such as;
Virtual reality enabled headset
Backend server – the application of stargardt disease patient for vision is installed
Wi-Fi modem - for connectivity between backend server and virtual reality enabled devices such as headset
The present invention implemented in a combination of both hardware and software. The present invention discloses the system and method for stargardt disease patient for vision by using virtual reality technology is comprising of;
Step 1) The stargardt disease patient for vision application is installed at backend server
Step 2) VR enabled headset is connected with backend server
Step 3) Patient wear VR enabled headset
Step 4) Virtual reality headset and virtual reality application stimulate virtual scene for surrounding real scene in a such way that patient can see clearly the surrounding scene
Step 5) Patient can be part of real world by using virtual reality technology
This is general overview of system. System is not bounded to this only.
Here by using this invention, the stargardt disease patient can see clearer image of surrounding scene.
Symptoms of Stargardt's disease can include blurry or distorted vision, inability to see in low lighting and difficulty recognizing familiar faces. In late stages of Stargardt's, color vision also may be lost.
The present invention helps the stargardts disease patient for clear vision with the help of virtual reality technology. By wearing virtual reality enabled headset patient can experience the virtual scene which is real in fact. Virtual reality simulates experience to patient in such a way that patient can see virtual world which is actual real in nature. Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds.
