, Description:FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for streamlined back office operations in retail by using big data technology. The invention is related to retail sector, which are now well developed due to upcoming technologies. Big data is one of the best technologies which can be effectively used for retailing.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
In retail back-office operations are the portion of a company that function to support the front office and ensure everything is running smoothly. Examples of this include HR, accounting, payroll, clearing and settling trades, and regulatory/compliance work. The back office is the portion of a company made up of administration and support personnel who are not client-facing. Back-office functions include settlements, clearances, record maintenance, regulatory compliance, accounting, and IT services.
Back Office Executives have support responsibilities and handle functions that help the front office work well. Main Back Office Executive Responsibilities are processing projects, managing databases, performing market research, analysing consumer trends, and handling accounting and finance tasks.
The basic functions of the back office are managing payroll, HR departments, account services, pay and bill, managing I.T, data entry and administration. Effective back office operations help the company to achieve more in terms of productivity and cost efficiency. A back office will take care of your clients.
Currently, in back office operations stock depleted is major risk which gives sinking feeling to retail team member who has responsibility of that. If stock is getting less and demand of it is higher than handling angry customer is really tough job. There is no such system which give prediction about items which require more than other due to customer’s choice.
The present invention gives the solution to above problem.
The present invention discloses the system and method for streamlined back office operation in retail by using big data technology. Big data analytics can be used to analyse customer data such as which product items are more preferable, search and purchase by customer. So, retailers with the help of this information can manage supply chain and product distribution.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is that, streamlined back office operations by using big data technology.
Another object of the invention is that, retailers use big data to analyse customer data.
Other object of the invention is that, retailers use big data to identify customer and preferences with respect product items.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for streamlined back office operations in retail by using big data technology. The invention application is installed at backend server. User/retail back office member start the invention application. Big data technology gets information of customer data such as to identify customer and their preferences with respect product items. With the help of big data technology, User/retail back office member get this information, which helps him/her in making decision related to stock and supply chain.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for streamlined back office operations in retail by using big data technology.
Big data is the vast volume of structured or unstructured data that is readily available at collective fingertips. These large data sets are analysed to reveal previously unknown patterns and provide insights into businesses, human behaviour, and more. Big data analysis is used for everything from financial services, to gauging someone’s productivity, to even monitoring the weather.
The key feature of big data is to analyse, understand and interpret it in order to give user a full a picture as possible about the back-office operations in retail.
The system and method for streamlined back office work in retail by using big data technology is comprising of the contents such as;
Backend server – The streamlined back office work in retail application is installed
The application of streamlined back office work in retail
Any open-source framework like Hadoop for data analysis which stored data on big data
Big data consists of five stages such as-
Data sources- web and social media, machines, Sensing, IoT
Content format – structured, semi-structured, unstructured data
Data stores – document oriented, column oriented, graph database, key value
Data Staging – cleaning, transform and normalization
Data processing – Batch and real time
The system and method for streamlined back office work in retail by using big data technology is comprising of the following steps such as;
Step 1) The application of streamlined back office work in retail is installed at backend server
Step 2) User/retail back office member starts the application
Step 3) Big data technology gets information of customer data such as to identify customer and their preferences with respect product items
Step 4) User/retail back office member can see the information provided by big data technology
Step 5) User/retail back office member analyses the data and can make decision related to stock and supply chain
The role of big data technology in invention application is as follows –
Big data technology help back office team member of retail by providing information about customer’s data such as to identify customer and their preferences with respect product items. With the help of big data technology, user/retail back office member get this information which helps back office team member in making decision related to stock and supply chain.
Use of big data is looking promising in the retail field and it can become a standard in the future.
The invention application has some advantages for the invented system, such as;
Cost reduction – Big data technologies such as Hadoop and cloud-based analytics bring significant cost advantages when it comes to storing large amounts of data plus they can identify more efficient ways of doing business.
Faster, better decision making – with the speed of Hadoop and in-memory analytics, combined with the ability to analyse new sources of data, businesses are able to analyse information immediately and make decisions based on what they’ve learned.
New products and services – with the ability to gauge customer needs and satisfaction through analytics comes the power to give customers what they want. Davenport points out that with big data analytics, more companies are creating new products to meet customer’s needs.
