1. A system for identifying potential supplier of goods and services comprising of:
a. a supplier link for locating a potential goods supplier;
b. a communication network such as internet; and
c. a request for quotation from supplier including some criteria;
wherein, the potential suppliers can be located with the help of the supplier link which can be extracted with the help of the communication network such as internet facility; and a request for quotation can be processed through the communication network for identification of the suppliers.
2. The system as claimed in claim1, wherein the said supplier is easily located and essential information of the supplier can be found easily with the help of supplier link given in the descriptive portion of the supplier website.
3. The system as claimed in claim1, wherein the communication network such as internet is for communicating with the supplier and person in search of supplier.
4. The system as claimed in claim1, wherein the said request for quotation is proposed along with criteria such as detailed information on the processes they use for preparing goods, the stability of their raw material suppliers and reasons for choosing them.
5. The process for identifying potential supplier of goods and services comprising the steps of:
a. locating potential supplier related to particular goods and services;
b. selecting and activating the supplier link for a supplier of goods and services;
c. publishing requirements in trade publications;
d. communicating with the suppliers followed by approaching selected companies for proposal;
e. requesting for quotation with certain criteria;
f. prioritizing the suppliers in descending order; and
g. reviewing the scope of services offered by supplier followed by matching them with the expectations of goods.
6. The process as claimed in claim 5, wherein the prioritization of suppliers is for minimizing the amount of unnecessary calls to potential suppliers.

The present invention relates to selecting suppliers. The present invention particularly relates to a system and method for identifying potential supplier of goods and services to create a prioritized list of potential suppliers.
Background of the invention:
Selection of right supplier for business needs is essential in order to deliver the products and services to customers on time and with the right price with respect to quality standards. If specific supplier’s selection criteria are applied, it is possible to identify companies for fulfilling the demands of the customer.
A search engine (such as yahoo) is used to locate specific information of suppliers of a particular goods or services over the internet. Internet search engines are unable to ask questions to user for focusing his/her search. So, the users are dependent on millions of webpages for ranking websites suitable for finding particular information.
Web site designers often design their Web sites in such a way that their website appears at the top of the webpage with highest number of visitors and increasing number of hits. The search engine's algorithm assumes that any page relevant to the topic will mention the user's search term in the headline or in the first few paragraphs of the text.
A user may be successful in locating goods or services on a particular topic using a typical search engine corresponding to significant number of goods and service providers related to their areas of interest. Business persons or professionals find it difficult, laborious and time consuming to compare various suppliers and decide which supplier would best fulfill their needs. Conventional search will reveal only two or three suppliers of particular goods; it will not locate the Web sites of many other commercial suppliers of goods or services whose web sites may not achieve high ranking on a particular search engine.
The goods and service directory are available which can be easily located using a conventional search engine and accessible using a computer and the conventional search engine on the Internet. There is a need for potential goods and services suppliers’ related to particular topic as well as quick and easy navigation from any number of supplier websites so that the user can find out more detailed information. The present invention is a system and method for providing numerous links to a variety of goods and services suppliers related to particular topic while providing easy and quick navigation from any number of supplier web sites so that the user can find out more detailed information than that provided by the directory.

The present invention is a system and method for locating supplier in a particular area and supplier identification on the basis of certain criteria.
In one embodiment, a system for identifying potential supplier of goods and services comprising of; a supplier link for locating a potential goods supplier; a communication network such as internet; and a request for quotation from supplier including some criteria. The supplier is easily located and essential information of the supplier can be found easily with the help of supplier link given in the descriptive portion of the supplier website. The communication network such as internet is for communicating with the supplier and person in search of supplier. The request for quotation is asked along with criteria such as detailed information on the processes they use for preparing goods, the stability of their raw material suppliers and reasons for choosing them.

According to the present invention, the prioritization of suppliers is for minimizing the amount of unnecessary calls to potential suppliers.

Issues like lead times from receipt of your order to delivery, minimum and maximum order quantities, storage and handling facilities, specific methods of delivery, quality assurance processes, payment terms and conditions, return policy and contactable references needs to be settled in order to get the items needed for business on time.
