Abstract: System and method for targeted marketing for hospitality sector by using big data technology is disclosed comprising of an application, backend server, any electronic device with active internet connection and any open-source framework like Hadoop for data analysis which stored data on big data. Hotel/restaurant has to installed targeted marketing application on any electronic device which has active internet connection. Hotel marketing team opens the invention application. With the help of big data technology, marketing team get predictive analysis related to marketing and according to this data location specific and time specific marketing will be carried out.

The present invention is related generally to the hospitality sector, and more particularly to system and method for targeted marketing by using big data technology.
Background of the invention:
Marketing is an activity which includes set of processes such as creating, communicating, delivering and exchanging offers that have value for customers/clients, partners and society.
Marketing is the process which informs customers about the products or service to the customers. Due to marketing customers can know about the value of the products, their usage and additional information that might be helpful to customers.
In simple words, marketing is the process which provides company’s product or service to the customers. Hospitality marketing includes segments of the hospitality industry such as hotels, restaurants, resorts and amusement parks and marketing techniques to promote their products or services.
Hospitality sector mainly depends on customers, so it focuses on good experiences and relationships with customers. Good marketing inspires customer for loyalty and also increase number of customers.
There are a few systems having marketing features inventions, which are patented, are listed below.
US patent application US6925441B1 by Charles L. Jones, IIIWilliam A. Eginton discloses System and method of targeted marketing. A system and method of targeted marketing to consumers, including businesses and associates, based upon the financial characteristics of the consumer, type offer being made and the channel of communication for delivery of the offer. The consumer is characterized based upon financial, behavioral, and socioeconomic factors. The offer is characterized based upon the consumer and the potential for the consumer accepting the offer. The channel of communication for delivery of the offer is also characterized and combined with the consumer and consumer-offer characteristics to arrive at a net present value of the offer to be made. If the net present value is sufficient the offer is processed and presented to the consumer. If the net present value is not sufficient, the offer is revised to present a better value to the consumer (or discarded if the required offer value cannot be created) thereby enhancing the chances that the consumer will accept the offer in question. In this way the system and method of the target marketing creates value in both releasing, and not releasing, specific offers.
US patent application US5948061A by Dwight Allen Merriman, Kevin Joseph O'Connor discloses Method of delivery, targeting, and measuring advertising over networks. Methods and apparatuses for targeting the delivery of advertisements over a network such as the Internet are disclosed. Statistics are compiled on individual users and networks and the use of the advertisements is tracked to permit targeting of the advertisements of individual users. In response to requests from affiliated sites, an advertising server transmits to people accessing the page of a site an appropriate one of the advertisements based upon profiling of users and networks.
Though the prior art patents disclose System and method of targeted marketing and Method of delivery, targeting, and measuring advertising over networks, they do not give any perfect solution for targeting marketing system for hospitality.

Big Data Technology can be defined as a Software-Utility that is designed to Analyse, Process and Extract the information from an extremely complex and large data sets which is difficult for the Traditional Data Processing Software.
Big data is the vast volume of structured or unstructured data that is readily available at our collective fingertips. These large data sets are analysed to reveal previously unknown patterns and provide insights into businesses, human behaviour, and more. Big data analysis is used for everything from financial services, to gauging someone’s productivity, to even monitoring the weather and now for hospitality sector also.

Which definitely develop and maintain the relationship between customer and hotel team. As a customer point of view, it is more beneficial as financial savings and other facilities are taken into consideration.
