Abstract: The invention discloses the system and method for traffic management by using big data technology. Big data used to rescue, being used to curb traffic and enhance traffic management by aiding prediction and management of congestion. Using a combination of real time information, historical trends, and clever algorithms, big data is translating car speeds, weather conditions, community events, and sources of acceleration and deceleration for road operators. Sensors are installed at transport networks and fleet vehicles enable firms to collect data streams from local transport authorities. Big data also provides intelligent information to traffic authorities to manage traffic.

1) The system and method for traffic management by using big data technology is comprising of the contents such as;
a. Backend server – An application of traffic management is installed;
b. Any open-source framework like Hadoop for data analysis which stored data on big data; and
c. An application of traffic management
2) The system claimed in claim 1 wherein, the system suggest can handle vast amounts of complex and diverse data.
3) The system claimed in claim1 wherein, the system can improve efficiency of transportation industry.

, Description:FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention discloses the system and method for traffic management by using big data technology. The invention is related to transport sector, which are now well developed due to upcoming technologies. Big data is one of the best technologies which can used for transport industry.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
Traffic on roads consists of road users including pedestrians, ridden or herded animals, vehicles, streetcars, buses and other conveyances, either singly or together, while using the public way for purposes of travel.
Traffic management refers to the combination of measures that serve to preserve traffic capacity and improve the security, safety and reliability of the overall road transport system. These measures make use of services and projects in day-to-day operations that impact on road network performance.
The safety, as well as the smooth flow of traffic is very important. The major task of the traffic management centers is to process, collect, and forward the necessary information about a certain traffic situation. Furthermore, it also helps in guiding and managing the traffic on various roads.
The road traffic affects several factors such as higher risk of passenger safety, loss of productivity, increase in fuel consumption, and pollution.
Currently, there is no such a system, that can tell road traffic management authority which route have possible traffic congestion. And what is the solution for it.
The present invention solves the above issues. The present invention discloses the system and method for traffic management by using big data technology. The system, by collecting the online social network data and information created by users, system give alert to traffic management authority about possible traffic congestion. And also, it suggests solution to traffic congestion.
Big Data Technology can be defined as a Software-Utility that is designed to Analyse, Process and Extract the information from an extremely complex and large data sets which the Traditional Data Processing Software could never deal with.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the invention is that, the system and method for traffic management by using big data technology.
Another object of the invention is that, the system can handle vast amounts of complex and diverse data.
Another object of the invention is that, the system can improve efficiency of transportation industry.
Other object of the invention is that, the system can improve the safety level of traffic.

The present invention discloses the system and method for traffic management by using big data technology.
Big data is the vast volume of structured or unstructured data that is readily available at our collective fingertips. These large data sets are analysed to reveal previously unknown patterns and provide insights into businesses, human behaviour, and more. Big data analysis is used for everything from financial services, to gauging someone’s productivity, to even monitoring the weather and also detecting the traffic jam on particular road.
Big data collect data from various sources like road traffic, weather, temperature, route etc and provide a proper estimate for traffic congestion. Thus, data analysis helps to predict traffic congestion and also give solution to authority of traffic control system.
The key feature of big data is to analyse, understand and interpret it in order to give user a full a picture as possible about traffic management.

Data Staging – cleaning, transform and normalization

The system and method of traffic management by using big data technology is comprising of the following steps such as;
Step 1) An application for traffic management is installed at backend server and data for that application is provided by big data
Step 2) Traffic control authority start the traffic management application
Step 3) Traffic control authority select area to check status of traffic in that area
Step 4) Traffic control authority get all information related to traffic condition in selected area provided by big data
Step 5) Invention system suggest solution to traffic congestion to traffic control authority

Traffic management system used big data technology can handle vast amounts of complex and diverse data. Big data has resolved three questions: data storage, data analysis and data management. Hadoop system is born with the ability to handle massive amounts of data, Data is stored on different nodes. A large task is divided into small tasks, and be finished. At the same time its stability and fault tolerance are important.
Big data can improve the efficiency of transportation industry. Transportation industry, involving many aspects of work, need to handle massive amounts of data, has more control model of application, has a great deal of equipment, if a little accident occurred the entire system will run into inefficient state, after using big data technology, the information system can process the data and discover the accident in good time, automatically handle it, or reported to the management staff and ask them to make decisions. Big data has a good predictive ability, it can reduce the probability of false alarm and underreporting of traffic incidents.
Big data can improve the safety level of traffic. The real-time processing capabilities of big data can accurately probe traffic accidents, its predictive ability can effectively predict the occurrence of traffic incident, using microwave detection systems, video surveillance systems, mobile detection system, it gives effective security model to improve the safety of vehicles. When security incidents happened and emergency rescue needed. Because of its comprehensive processing and decision-making capability, rapid response capability big data can greatly improve the ability of emergency rescue and reduce casualties and property losses.
